The multiplayer in Watch_Dogs is everything Grand Theft Auto Online should have been and more.

I have to say for the most part I was more excited for GTAO rather than the campaign this time around. Was so excited that I skipped my campaign where I was barely even half way through and jumped into the Online world. I couldn't tell you how disappointed I was.

 

The lack of heists was a very small contributing factor. The major gripe I had with GTAO was that every game mode was instanced instead of it being seamless. So from races, TDM, jobs, to even two player missions, every part of the game was instanced. It would take you and the other players to another version of the game world where it felt dead and boring.

 

This is what Watch_Dogs does so well. Everything is seamless. Folks can hack into your game/world. Jobs work the same way as well. Nothing is instanced. You don't need to even leave the single player campaign to hop into multiplayer. Its all happening right there and then.

 

As much fun as the world in GTAO is its quit underwhelming to what could have been. The lobbies are small and there is almost no interaction with NPCs etc. The ease at which you can start a job is another thing. You ain't even required to drive to the location. Bring up the map and you can instantly get ported to the startpoint. The sad part is I don't even think heists can bring GTAO to life.

I'm so sick of hearing of Watchdogs. Just f*ck off already.

Just wait for actual hackers to "hack" into your game world and have the environment constantly acting against you. P.S. watch Eagle Eye for examples.
