I never buy armor but it annoys me too when I log off after leveling up(gives free armor) only to see it go to waste..

I guess the cloud servers Rockstar is using cant save it to the next session..

If the armor remained through changing sessions I'd buy it all the time but right now,its just a waste.

what's one second more to kill someone, or another bullet.

 

armor mechanic is poorly implemented and just mostly placebo.

 

in other GTAs only bullet damage effected the bullet proof vest, GTA5 fall damage, melee, etc.. everything will make your armor gone just like that.

Have you tried checking your inventory?

Many times I've seen that I'm not wearing armour, Looked in inventory and it's just been taken off like an item of clothing.

To put it simple, that armor can't stop a headshot wear a helmet or dont be an idiot in a fire fight besides most people aim for the chest

the helmet you put when on a bike does have an effect on bullets.

 

always on helmet that you put on interaction menu does not.
