Imagine every station from every GTA (3 onwards) on this.

Title says it, imagine being given the option to listen to any station that was on a single GTA from 3 onwards, each station having the exact playlist that it used to have. For example, switching from Lips 106 to SF-UR then Emotion 98.3

I dunno how it would work with the Radio Los Santos' since there's two but hey.

It could be like some type of classic radio stations dlc.

The only issue I could see would be audio quality

It'd still be nostalgic haha i wouldn't mind listening to SF-UR or the station on gta 3 solely dedicated to the Scarface soundtrack.

I would enjoy that. Doubt it would ever happen though, they'd have to re-license and repay for all the music. Just look at GTA 4. When they came out with the Episodes of Liberty City standalone game for those who didn't want to (or couldn't ) download the content, they could only include the songs that came with Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and the Damned. They couldn't include the music from GTA 4 because the music companies wanted them to pay again for the use of the songs because it was 'a new game' in their eyes.

Seriously, you would think that the music companies would let Rockstar use the music for free. Ever notice how whenever a new GTA game comes out, you hear the songs that are on that game being played on the radio a crap load more than they had been before? And people go out and buy the music more, so it's like free advertising. But the music industry has their head so far up their butt they couldn't even begin to comprehend how it would make them money, and want the licensing fee as well. Greed, it makes the world go around.

Liberty City Rock Radio at any freaking moment. The music they played fitted any situation or just added more epicness to it.

Now there is a Los Santos Rock too but they are kinda boring most of the time.

It would be amazing, however, it would take three days to search for a radio station, and about a week to hear the again song you want to hear haha

It could work. Have it in two wheels. First wheel would be the name of the GTA the music is from, this leads to a second wheel where you choose the stations from that particular GTA.

Or just let people swap stations out of the existing radio wheel that they never listen to. Do the same thing for playlists of mp3s on our harddrives.

Nah, just add "GTA SA", "Vice City" etc to the wheel, once hovered over those, it'll bring up the radio stations from that game into its own wheel

Or they could just let us put our own music in the game in a custom radio. That would benefit me because i have every radio station since the first GTA in MP3 files.

I suppose in terms of licensing, the issue might be there.

But i've always felt they should include the old soundtracks. They could say that they're introducing some kind of "internet-based" radio stations for us.

I'd love to hear some Living Colour, Anthrax, Sisters of Mercy, Helmet or Calle 13 whilst rampaging through Los Santos lol

This. Being able to access MP3s in your car makes total sense. The vast majority of the cars in game are new enough to have a dock or USB to plug your phone into and play your own music. Maybe LSC needs an upgraded stereo option.

Imagine driving through the sunny Los Santos streets with Emotion 98.3 blasting out. Imagine.

That'd be the only station I need.

I would pay serious money for a DLC like this. Would be so epic to hear those radio stations. but how would they do that with players who don't have the stations? do they hear them only when they get in the vehicle of a player who has them?

Hope they would do this; especially that a lot of people would pay money for this.

But I can also see them adding this music by the use of another city.

They would only have to license it once; Because GTA Online is a game on its self, they can actually pay once for a game which can be here for over 20 years.

Hearing GTA 3 Game Radio and GTA IV/EFLC Beat 102.7 again would be the sickest thing. I support this idea 100%.

What?

Would it be better if I said legacy radio stations?

I don't know how the audio quality of music in GTA 3 was, but I would kind of assume it would be lower quality audio if they just ripped the radio stations from the game considering how old it is.

Shootinalloveryourface

Does anyone know if it's likely that we'll ever be able to have a custom radio station with our own tunes?
