Why don't rockstar add all cars to be available for purchase?

because then this wouldn't be Grand Theft Auto anymore. I like it that way, some cars you have to find.. some cars you have to buy. Keeps it interesting.

Pretty much this.

Although, I don't know why there's in game websites to buy cars in a game about stealing, I liked import/export in GTA SA.

Because if you don't require players to use game money to buy stuff, game money is worthless. Try going back to GTA 3 or San Andreas to see what I mean. I have no idea how much money I had, but the only time money became valuable was when something opened up to buy, and then I had a hundred times what it took to buy it.

They finally got the money aspect of the game somewhat correct in online. You really do need to play it a lot to get everything.

Plus, rockstar knows that a big part of the game is finding those rare cars. Not just being rich, but actually driving along and suddenly seeing a car you want, and the only way to get it is to steal it.

Grand Theft Auto, baby, yeaaaah!!!!

I just want the Hotknife to be made available. That's all I want.

Lol I can buy it for free with the CE of the game. But this car sucks even in the freeroaming with friends. It's totaly useless.

Along with these other responses about it turning into just Grand Auto I'd say it opens up the option to remove Insurance and be forced to buy every car and never save one again...

How about no.

Nah. I like looking for different cars. Reminds me of when I used to look for rare pokemon on Gameboy.

To be fair, it should be just like SP with vehicles and storage. The cash card model would surely still be valid with property, weapons and ammo surely? Unless the cards gave out RP bonuses and unlocked exclusive mods or something? Meh. Over thinking as ever.

It's Grand Theft Auto, why should you be able to buy every car that revolves around stealing. Plus I personally get a sense of accomplishment whenever I find a rare car and claim it for my self.

They already made some cars available for us to buy, so why the f*ck not all of them?

It goes against the whole "Grand Theft Auto" part of the tittle...
No it doesn't. That has been the reply throughout this thread and its wrong because you can still steal and store all the non premium cars that are on the website.

Real car theives steal cars for profit or to joy ride not to keep. This whole it wouldnt be GTA bullsh*t is just that bullsh*t. Personally I could care less if a car is rare and have better things to do then spend hours upon hours looking for a car I want.

'Real car thieves'

That's about as broad as saying 'real murderers'. There's all kinds of car thieves out there. There's about three different kinds in the Single Player of this game, for crying out loud.

If you are stealing cars IRL to keep as personal vehicles a) you are an idiot and b) you won't be free very long.

There really isn't "all kinds of car thieves either". There is basically two, the kind who steal cars to either chop up and sell the parts or ship overseas and sell or the kind who steal a car just to drive around for the night .

Think of it like this:

Most of the cars on "Legendary Motorsport" website are "Partly RARE"

Reason: The only way to obtain (Own and Modify and/or sell) these vehicles is by buying them from that store and we have all been in sessions where 70% of the lobby own a vehicle from "Legendary Motorsport".

Same goes for some of the vehicles on "Southern Sanandeas Super Autos"

Reason: Not many people use a majority of the vehicles listed on there, other vehicles such as the Felon, Felon GT, and few others might be classed as "RARE" due to their low spawn rate for some users.

Now for vehicles such as the Schafter, Tailgater, Sentinel (hardtop convetable and the non-convertable), Romeo Hearse and a number of other vehicles that are not on either of these sites can be considered "RARE"

Reason: Due to low spawn rate (apart from the time simeon is asking for the ones he usually asks you for) and even thou many might own some of these you hardly see them driven.

In all honesty everyone has their own opinion on what is a rare car and thats fair everyones taste is not going to be the same cause face it that would be just plain boring everyone having the same cars.

What would be good though is if R* made certain police vehicles, the Lifeguard SUV, Taxi and few other vehicles buyable but have them under Pegasus.

There really isn't "all kinds of car thieves either". There is basically two, the kind who steal cars to either chop up and sell the parts or ship overseas and sell or the kind who steal a car just to drive around for the night .

1. Car thieves who take a car, joyride, and ditch it somewhere

2. Car thieves who take a car and deliver it to a chop shop

3. Car thieves who take a car because they've been told too by a higher up (generally occurs more in crime rings)

4. Car thieves who are also directly involved in the business of selling the exact same cars (the stuff Franklin does, which generally people don't get away with for very long - I'm shocked Simeon got away with it for as long as he did) [And yes, there is difference between this and selling the car to chop shops]

5. Car thieves who take a car and sell it overseas (unlike chop shops, this requires a lot of other stuff, such as actually finding someone to ship it for you)

6. Car thieves who take a car and store it somewhere far from their place of residence and the place in which they took the car until the heat is down, at which point they get a new plate, new registry, etc.

All of these are of course illegal, but some of them are way harder to get away with. More often than not, the two you mentioned are the ones that people get away with. While it'd be stupid to keep cars you steal in real life, due to the difficult of getting away with it, it does occur and people do get away with it.

My question is why doesn't rockstar allow us to go with a stolen car and remove any of the trackers at a garage for like $1000.

If you could do that then I highly doubt anyone would even drive their PV or even allow anyone other than Trusted Friends to drive their PVs.

They actually need to do the opposite of this and make every car available to steal.

Available to steal and being able to claim it as your own are two different things.

I still can't wait until the benefactor Schafter is added for purchase on the sanandreasautos website.

Why not just steal one off the street ?

And yeah what Frankenstein said ^

Wait until Simeon sends you a list, hunt around until it shows up, and then just keep it for yourself. There's no rule that says you have to sell Simeon the vehicle.

Agree and Disagree. It'd be nice to save some time but then some cars would lose their shine. And I find it funny that we can't purchase a small Toyota (Karin Futo) but we can buy military tanks. :p

Just because you have played it on GTA or seen it on a movie/tv doesn't mean you know about it. I got a feeling you have never committed a serious crime in your life and don't know much about it.

I'm not even trying to give you sh*t for it either because now that I'm older I wish I could say the same thing about myself but I can't. Unfortunately I can honestly say that of the two of us one of us has experience in the topic at hand and it's not you. I've beaten an attempted GTA charge and still gotta check yes in the felony conviction box on a job application.

Because they are giving us the challenge of finding rare cars similar to the multiple other challenges in this game. It wouldn't be fun if all the cars were available and also other unlockables such as clothing, guns, missions, and etc.

The only car (besides new ones) that really needs to be added is Franklin's Buffalo.

I got one so I aint really fussed, but it should be available to all.

They added the Asea so I'm sure they'll add the Buffalo MKII in the future.

I think cars should be removed from SSA. Hunting for cars is a huge fun part of the game. Just being able to buy them would take out a big chunk of fun. Also, there would be no more "rare" cars that make you feel at least a little special for finding.

Why didn't Rockstar give us all guns with max ammo at level 1?

Buying no, but storing absolutely yes.

I miss my clown van times, many people want cop cars and they don't harm anyone by having them.

R* should read the forums, not only for patching glitches, for listening customers.
