A little proof would be nice. Until then, your answer is still...

As an Australian, the Fugitive has absolutely zero resemblance to a Commodore.

It's the car in the game which is closest to a Commodore (VE). But the cars in this game are only really generic cars roughly copied of a real idea. Much more likely the inspiration was a Cadillac. The guys that made the game and most the 15 year olds playing wouldn't have a clue what a Commodore was.

Why wouldn't most "15 year old" playing the game know what a Holden commodore is

Because unless you are from Australia or NZ where you see them everyday of your life you just don't have enough life experience to know about sedans built elsewhere at that age. Most kids in Australia have never heard of a Lotus Carlton for example which itself has very close ties to Opel and the VN-S Commodores.

It does look a bit like a dunnydoor, but it also looks like plenty of other seppo tanks too.

What they do have in common is that they're both crap. The Fugitive needs a Kiwi fern leaf on it though to complete it's junkiness ;)

That police car is the long wheelbase version of the Commodore ^. Its exported ready built as a Police car.

In Australia they use the standard wheelbase SS version for highway patrol.

Oh yeah, it is too.

I heard they're meant to be one of the best models of Cop cars in the US. Fast, reliable, an alright offroader

Only Australia/NZ have Holdens and maybe a few other countries, but not America and the UK.

I'm 15 years of age & I know what a Holden Commodore is...although it probably helps living in NZ where there's quite a few about (also they are the police vehicle of choice here).

Oh, the stripes on the Fugitive have to be modded, only the Alpha can have stripes added legitimately.

Are you guys even Aussies? I haven't met an Aussie in years that has purchased a Commodore.

I thought only Kiwis were thick enough to buy an overpriced heap with awful resale.

As harsh as that is, it's definitely true..

I think the VE looks pretty good, sister has a VE Z series and the seats are f*cking uncomfortable.. Like 10 minutes later your back hurts.

She tried to sell it after 8 months and the resale was probably better through the scrap steel guys..
