Crew Update

Hey Guys,

I'm making this post to talk about a future update suggestion that me and a few friends had for GTA Online.

The update would be Crew oriented and for the purpose of this thread, I'll refer to it as the Crew Update.

Before I get into the meaty stuff, I have actually recently posted a video on this subject. If you would prefer to listen to the ideas as opposed to reading them, you can watch the video below.

Okay, so the first of our ideas is a Crew Clubhouse. Perhaps this could be in the form of a large warehouse or a mansion. This clubhouse would include a number of useful features that would benefit the crew as a whole.

The first of these features is a Crew Garage that contains Crew Cars. These Crew Cars would be accessible to the whole crew and are picked by the leaders and commissioners of a crew. The cars available to be picked would be determined by the crew's level (a feature suggestion I will get into shortly). The Crew Garage would allow for better representation of a crew as well as opening some higher end cars up for low-level crew members.

Next up, we have the Crew Gun Locker. This gun locker would allow low-level crew members to have temporary access to some better weapons before say, a big heist for example. Another feature of the Crew Gun Locker would be the ability to deposit and withdraw weapons, for example those 6 other pistols that you don't need!

The final Crew Clubhouse suggestion I have is the ability to customize/upgrade the interior depending on the crew's Level. If your crew is a low level, then the interior of your Clubhouse will be pretty mediocre, however if your crew is a high level, then you will have access to better interiors and upgrades.

I have mentioned the Crew Leveling a few times and I will now explain my idea for this. A crew's level determines a number of things including what cars are available for the Crew Garage, what guns are available in the Crew Gun Locker and what accommodation, interiors and upgrades there are for the Crew Clubhouse. However, it also determines what Crew Heists a crew has access to.

Crew Heists would come outside of the regular GTA Online heists and would reward RP and cash for the players taking part in the heists, as well as Crew RP to level the crew up.

On top of that, another new feature for the crews would be a Reputation system similar to how Red Dead Redemption's honor system. If your crew executes heists in a way that's clean and avoids any unnecessary conflict, then your crew will get a good reputation. However, if your crew is reckless and kills civilians and police without thought then your crew will gain a bad reputation. A crew's reputation would impact the options they have when setting up a heist as well as a number of other things.

For the sake of keeping this a thread and not a novel, I will end the post here. What do you think about these ideas?

-Ok... I'm listening.

-Not feeling that. There would be no motivation for lower level players to rank up, earn money, or win races.

-Not feeling that either. Same reason as above, besides you can already pick up temporary weapons in mission.

The final Crew Clubhouse suggestion I have is the ability to customize/upgrade the interior depending on the crew's Level. If your crew is a low level, then the interior of your Clubhouse will be pretty mediocre, however if your crew is a high level, then you will have access to better interiors and upgrades.

-This looks like it will already be starting to happen in private apartments, I don't see a need for it on a crew level.

-Again things are already going in this direction per player. I don't see the need to tie up the game anymore just to have a crew clubhouse.

Crew Heists would come outside of the regular GTA Online heists and would reward RP and cash for the players taking part in the heists, as well as Crew RP to level the crew up.

-Im pretty sure the intent with heists is that you have to be a member of a crew to do them anyway. I certainly don't see a need for crew/non crew doable heists.

-This is adding a whole new function that serves no purpose and yields no rewards. Unneccessary.
