[GTAO] The Official LMFAO Thread

I love The Official B*tch & Moan thread for the opportunity to share our moments of venting, frustration, annoyance, and grievances.

However, sometimes reading post after post of negative feedback can be a bit much, so I'm offering a new post to share our moments in the game where you find yourself just laughing out loud at someone else's misfortune, mistakes, or just pure good fortune on your own part.

My recent moments were:

1. I was being spawnkilled by a dude with an RPG, so I went into Passive. He came up right next to me and shot, not seeing palm tree behind me. Blew himself up!"
2. Coming out of a clothing store recently, a player was trying to kill me and got run over by an NPC driver and killed. I laughed very hard, out loud, at that!
3. Dude brought a tank in with a Cargobob only to drop it in a swimming pool. LMFAO!!

* ps. this is not for long-winded stories, mind you, but just quick LOL moments. If you've got a detailed story, please share it in the Share Your Stories Thread, which is full of fantastic player exploits in the game!

Today, I was picked off by a youngster who caught me not paying attention after Rooftop Rumble.
I know he was young because he was shouting in his mic, "who own you, <expetive>?"

When I respawned, he came after me but fell down the cliff side... sliding down, down, down, right to my feet.

As he stood up, I just pumped the shotgun at him. LMFAO!!

Not really a story but I enjoy seeing people trip and fall over something like a ledge next to the highway. Especially when a few of you do it at the same time without meaning to.

Was doing RR and one guy called a chopper but the guy with the package decided to drive instead. I got in the chopper so I could do a parachute jump out as I usually do to kill the boredom of RR. As I jumped the pilot said "noooo dont jump". About 10 seconds later he says, "noooo my dam parachute didnt open. Its because Im a black man".

 

I near died laughing.

Climbing a ladder near Grief-LSC-central on one of the hotels nearby. Get on the roof, look down and I see what looks like an outdoor garden area with wooden beams across the top. Jump down thinking it's low enough, go into fall animation, character falls through the gap in the beams but gets caught hanging by both arms, lands on his feet in the garden like area, stumbles backwards almost upright for 5 seconds 'cause the fall animation was still active, and faceplants over a low wall off the building

I was in passive mode taking out pics then a guy comes to me and steals my bike like a badass. He tried doing a wheelie and fell down and died. I switch vehicle access to passengers when he tried to steal it again. He was level 7 btw.

Well, most of the posts on the forum are just "tell your story" posts, anyway, right? The B&M thread is a tell your story thread, too, right?

 

I'm not sure what your point is, but if you'd like to contribute to this thread with a short, LMFAO moment, then I'd love to read it.

 

Otherwise, go HERE and moan about my thread. I'm just trying to engage a positive vibe on the forum while we wait for heists. (LMFAO!)

This guy in a Tank kills me right?

So I sent a message saying "DUDE IM GETTING ANGRY!!!!!!"

I Ride Over to his tank and he is Idle entering a message saying "boo hoo"

Right as he sent it, Im jacking him for his tank. He tries to drive off but its too late

 

So I blew him up , and then sent "THATS WHAT HAPPENS!!!"

 

I kept his tank until he left shortly after

a month or two ago when I bothered with normal sessions I was messing around in the tank, drove up behind mors to the raised up road section, somehow managed to drive the tank over one of the sections that is open and shows the road underneath, the tank swings around like a pendulum whilst i'm shooting and somehow managed to time it right to take out two other players underneath. Took a while to get the tank to fall through and back on its wheels

B&M thread was created to cut down on the amount of threads created, bitching and moaning about all sorts of things. As much as I hate backseat moderators and such, this thread is pretty much another Tell Your Story thread, as it serves no purpose other than asking people to tell specifically funny stories. B&M is actually awesome because every stupid, repetitive crying thread is merged into it or locked, and OP is directed to the B&M thread.

Called a chopper while doing RR.... Moved the chopper so it was a shorter distance to run after getting the package... The three guys ran out of the garage, the first guy ran into the back rudder killing himself... the second followed suit and did the same thing, the last guy thought he was smarter than that and ran around wide, However he cut around to tight and ran in to the rudder... sad thing was they had already used the spare life and all three sat watching... I laughed all the way to Martian's house....LMFAO

I had a bounty last night and raced straight to the helipad to steal a chopper, but see a dot racing towards me....expecting a sticky bomb (common sense), i pull up and spin it around but instead of killing me, the guy in an Adder speeds straight underneath me and slides into the gas tank near the shed and detonated.. I f*cking laughed so much, was sure i was going to die.

Maybe you didn't read the OP, as the idea of this was also to minimize individual postings of "long, drawn-out and stories" into short, humorous, 1-2 sentence moments.

 

Perhaps instead of criticizing an effort by another member trying to foster a positive, creative discussion topic for other members, to promote this forum/site and help generate diverse interest for both current users and potential new ones, you might actually consider contributing something, yourself, instead of pointing out the obvious, however persnickety it may be.

 

And to say, "as much as I hate backseat moderators," does not dismiss you from being a backseat moderator. "Lighten up, Francis" and join something more positive than being a Fudd.

 

ON ANOTHER NOTE, FOR THE MODERATORS...

If you have a concern with this effort, then please, consider the comment from GTA Master 007 above, and perhaps change the name to The Official Boast & Brag Thread, which I really think is a great, creative piece of constructive feedback... and he/she is right!

 

Clearly, folks have something to share which they don't wish to share in the "Share Your Stories" thread, because they aren't stories, they are momentary experiences that made them laugh, very similar to the B&M thread.

 

Just sayin, is all. A little levity never hurt anyone! Cheers!

Playing Rooftop Rumble last night. One of my XBL friends that joined was pulling up in a dune buggy outside the garage, and cliupped my character enough to knock her down. Then during a shootout with the professionals who pull up in suv's, an npc driving a convertable floored it, ran me over and then ran over a random who was playing this mission too. We both lived..but f*ck that bitch for hitting both of us with her car.

A while ago, i noticed a car load of 4 ppl seemed like they were following me. I pulled over my PV to the side of the road by a driveway and hid behind a wall that went alongside the driveway. They pull up and a couple of them start shooting at my car like I'm still inside, one throws a grenade that falls way short and I pop up and MG them all, one by one, while one of them yells NO! into his mic. I lol'd at that one.

He was like "Wot M8?"

And killed him. Then proceeded to speed off into the sunset as I signed out.

Gotta admit it was pretty damn hilarious.

 

Earlier this evening he even said " I was the coolest person he'd met online"

 

 

He probably is thinking twice about jumping in a boat with a Stranger.

So, I joined my first public session of the day. Once in, I noticed this high level player with a bounty spawn killing low levels with his tank. So I decided to bring out my tank to take care of the problem, and his bounty. Arriving at his location, I start shooting at him from afar. He started running, due to the fact his tank was at low health, and eventually ended up near the Eclipse Towers. As the battle went on, he ventured into the glitchy gate near that apartment and what do you know? A Good Samaritan helped me send him to space. First time witnessing this glitch in an actual game so I just bursts out laughing. Best moment (so far).

I was being chased by the cops in my Buffalo along the Tataviam Mountains highway (next to that big gas station and 24/7 you can rob) when I swerved off the highway and stopped, going down the hill.

 

Of course with all the secret police stations around there were already cops in front of me, when the cop behind me went flying over me and straight into the windcreen of the other one in front of me and exploded.
