GTAO Addicts

[LPGTAO]

Anyone have a problem playing too much GTAO, such that it interferes with or detracts from the rest of your life? Work, school, family, friends, etc? What do you do to stay balanced and remember what's really important? I for one fell victim to the 2x payday and played way more than I should have yesterday. Thanks for sharing your experiences/advice.

Ive been playing a lot too...causing a spike in my internet bill haha. So i disconnected the xbox, planning to start playing again when i get my finances back together.

 

If i keep my xbox plugged in, ill just keep on playing. One hour becomes two...then three....etc etc lol

Uhh, most of my hobbies have taken a back seat for the last 6 months. GTAO anonymous for me.

 

Edit: it has also been a long damn winter up north here so I might attribute not wanting to go out much to the weather and use it as an excuse to just play online.

I'm a functioning GTA-holic. As long as you don't let it interfere with your money earning and sex life you are good. Same with any other popular online game. I however do designate 1 day out of the week to strictly gaming and weed smoking which everyone gets equally ignored.

It's the first real "mmo" type game I've played, besides when I played runescape in like 2010-11 hahaha

I am already onto my second game-disc and second joypad since it came out.

 

Also my sony tv has really bad screenburn of the HUD.

gta to me what really makes it amazing is the unpredictability in free-roam..

 

what annoys me from Rockstar is not enough content is on Free-roam...

 

more needs to be done in free-roam other than silly simeon with his cars boringgggggggg!

what annoys me from Rockstar is not enough content is on Free-roam...

 

more needs to be done in free-roam other than silly simeon with his cars boringgggggggg!

Free-roam means you have to make sh*t up. you have to put some effort into creating your own fun.

I used to be. Played it too much and now the interest is fading slowly. I used to be able to play it solo for hours on end and now i can't stand to play it solo for more than 15 mins.

Haven't played for more than a month, because I moved to Playstation and don't wanted to buy GTA 5 again and start with a new character in Online. I was very bored of GTAO after 6 months and quit. Thought this chapter will be cleared forever, but I miss the game a bit and am still not ready to leave this forum completely. Also I still watch let's plays of the game.

 

Sometimes I catch myself thinking of a heavy sniper rifle to shoot after cars that drive away from me. It's a little like being a veteran that is traumatized by a war, just in a positive way, that makes him want to go back. But I guess after playing 30 minutes I would be bored again.

Been playing everyday since day one. Won't stop when watchdogs comes out either...this game has me hooked like iv and red dead redemption. I just found my new troll today...get a bounty and ride the street car and pick off super car drivers as they slow to a crawl next to it....priceless.

or maybe most of us like to put some effort into more productive parts of our life like earning some money and living our life outside of GTA.....its not about intelligence its about patience and tolerance, some gamers probably have more tolerance and patience to deal with the slow pace of R* in releasing stuff on GTAO others don't. Also free-roam is quite boring after you have tried every aspect that it offers multiple times, I mean if I base jump from one mountain its pretty much the same as all the other mountains, and if I have done the whole 2-3 different variations of hijacking p-lazer and fooling around with crews and friends in cargobob or tank or whatever it gets boring after a while. Its true I would be a lot happier if there were more things to actually do in free-roam than simeon, armoured truck and zankudo heists............
