Is there anyone out there that plays anything other than Rooftop Rumbl

I'll play just about anything except Coveted (most boring mission ever) or deathmatches.

I find it interesting that you don't play deathmatches, why is that?

The line-of-sight radar thing and killstreak/deathstreak screen filters ruined deathmatches. Lack of interiors didn't exactly help either. :/

I played a few TDMs back when Online was still new and didn't have the best of experiences, with already being lukewarm about TDMs/DMs in this kind of game (I didn't really play them in IV either) I just didn't bother going back. I briefly considered it a while after deathmatch creator was released, but there's too many troll maps. (Also lack of interiors like SirMichael said)

Maybe because most deathmatches suck ? It's a camp fest, only a few are good when it has a forced weapon and everyone has a chance to kill, In my opinion.

After doing RR about a thousand times this weekend, I doubt I'll ever play it again. I got so bored with grinding it that I just ran down the street and beat up hobos after the package was on the way to the destination.

Fair enough, I suppose. I don't think I ever played a deathmatch on GTA IV, though at the time whenever I went onto GTA IV I would have about 10 friends playing it and we'd would always find ourselves doing random, entertaining things in free roam. At one point we even considered starting a YouTube channel (which unfortunately never happened) because we enjoyed ourselves that much and had a laugh while doing so. Now i'm lucky to have 1 friend playing GTA Online on the ps3 and to be honest I think that may be the root of the problem. If the same people played GTA Online that I played online with on GTA IV, I doubt It would have even started this thread.

However, I do agree with the lack of interiors and some deathmatches can be very generic, but there are some entertaining ones. More so when you win them.

As everyone already knows the payouts are extremely messed up for missions. This was more apparent to me during the double 2 day marathon. I thought to myself if they are able to, with the touch of a button, double everything, wouldn't it be just as simple to make the appropriate changes to payouts, and also the obvious name change for RR. This makes me conclude that they either don't care, or are complete morons, or both.

I pretty much play everything solo now, you just cant trust randoms anymore. That means no Landing gear or Method to Madness 2 missions I really liked.

Also hard to do anything that requires hacking as you cant cover yourself, so Dry Docking, LS connection, stocks and Shares etc... are out

Still leaves quite a bit of diversity to play, and rather than exiting to free roam if I dont get a mission to select I like to do a quick parachute jump and then get a new set of selections.

and I love the playlists, especially the Coveted, Potshot, CCIII x16

Landing Gear. <3

Too bad people take forever with landing the planes. :/

I'll play any high-ranking or high-paying mission though.

For several ranks now (74 now) I've been getting spammed with texts for Chumash and Grab and Landing Gear by Gerald and Ron. I've never been able to do Landing Gear because it's impossible to get THREE other players to join. Once I got three total at once, then one left and another joined right after. Then everybody left.

Other missions aren't going to be played (enough) while RR is the easiest, fastest mission to earn money and RP, such a shame! There's a bunch of missions that are WAY more fun.

I liked assassinating npc's in Judging the Jury, but with my brother we messed up, failed and our session stopped, I haven't gotten it back yet. :<

OP,Besides rooftop rumble,i do lots of other stuff like hang out with crew & more, but i will more be inclined to spawn kill you rather than befriend you because you are an a@#hole

I tried a few death matches, and all I can say is that they are a complete waste of time for anybody who doesn't play them 24/7 in the same location.

What a pile of dogsh*t those things are!!!! I can't see anybody, but everybody can see me to where I die five times in as many minutes. Everybody else... I have no clue because they are all invisible.

WTF kinda happy crap is that sh*t? Back to RR for me. At least I can see the guys I am supposed to kill. Not like deathmatches where everybody is invisible except me, and I am in the middle of the killing field wandering around blind as a bat.

I've been using the "Join Contact Mission" option from the phone a lot recently, cuz some of the ones I really wanna play (like Base Invaders) aren't on my Host Jobs menu anymore and I have no other way to get them other than hoping I get tossed into them randomly. And I end up with RR probably 80% of the time. If they'd just nerf the damn payout, and bump it up on some of the other, more difficult ones, it might encourage people to actually play something else for a change.

As long as the host has it set to hard, I'll usually stick around and take the easy 18k, and I'll even help out with killing the pros... unless someone decides to open fire immediately, before I can even get into cover. In that case: go get 'em, hero, if you're in that big a hurry. And I never bother taking the documents to Madrazo anymore. There's always someone else on the team who's super-eager to do that, so why spoil it for 'em? I'll stay here by the garage and shoot peds for the rest of the mission...
