What happened to Coveted?

I have searched these forums using Coveted as a search word, and cant find anything but how to play the mission, challenges to keep doing the mission ect or older topics dating bact to Jan/Feb

 

Has Coveted been removed from the game?

 

It is not in any of my missions list,

I have tried to find it on the map and checked every in game hour (cell phone time) it never shows up as a mission i can drive to

Last night i played for 4 real time hours doing missions and jobs it never came up on any of the voting screens ...nor was it ever offered VIA the cell phone by who ever offers it

^^^ same as he said. Although personally due to RR it's been made pretty much obsolete apart from the hosts level required. ^^^

 

But can be found in playlists though.

 

Whatever happened to the 150 jobs we were promised? I haven't seen more than 20 a month lately

It came up in the vote screen for a group of us on Friday. First time I've seen it in a while.

It's not in the job list anymore. You have to start it from the mission location. It's up on the top of the hill overlooking the cove.

 

E - if you fly up there, you may have to land and walk around to get the ring to show up. It wasn't visible at first, then when it showed up, others in my party couldn't see it but I was still able to launch the mission.

My friend told me that a lot of people hated it, so Rockstar took it out. If you look at the user rating, it has a really low one compared to the other missions. I think it has to do with you spawning on the top of the mountain really far away from your personal vehicle or something like that.

You can start it from a playlist, from the mission location on the hill at the right time of day, and it shows up as one of the random missions on the voting screen. So it's still alive and kicking.

Coveted, potshot, crystal 3 and some others all vanished but can still be started from their world location and possibly map marker (map marker might require bookmark). Or from playlists, but those don't seem to be shareable any more. I find I have to do some other job, usually a quick race or rumble, to make them appear on the map.

 

R* have said it was an error and they're looking into it but its taking a lot longer than when rumble vanished....less outrage being expressed maybe?

No, R* have said that removal from the playlist was a mistake, so hopefully it'll be rectified next update.

 

The reason for the low ratings was that it was impossible to up-vote location missions like Coveted, Crystal Clear Out 2&3 and Potshot which have all been removed, but are still available from their trigger locations.

The mission marker (blue star) appears from midnight until 8am (GTA time obviously).

 

You should set the time of day to 'noon' and the weather to 'clear'.

 

Unless you want to make it harder/take longer, in which case 'night' and 'raining'

You can still play the mission, I did so earlier today.

You just need to go to the mission corona which appears in roughly the same place as you start the mission which only appears at night.

I have one. You need to bookmark it and it'll show in the menu under playlists. Then I believe you need to edit it to make it "your own". If you want I can add you as a friend on SC, so you can use my playlist

i ran 16x coveted all yesterday, made about 600,000$ a run-thru, 4140 RP a job, and i didn't have to PAUSE/ONLINE/JOBS/HOST/ROCKSTARCREATED/MISSIONS/RR every time. it was nice and no one left the playlist lol. I feel for the time it took, and the fact RR was capped around 5000 RP anyway it was way nicer than grinding RR. The playlist I use is called "18k"

Had a friend of a friend come in and was all "you know RR pays $37500 (1500 more)" and left instantly. That's only 24k after 16 repeats ya tight ass

I might have to try that one, I usually dont like that your Peggy vehicles dont respawn during playlists, especially the CCIII playlist, but that might be fun!

It's only visible at night, starting at 10pm game time
