Just asking.

Do you watch it when you're bored? If so, do you have a favorite in-game TV show?

My personal favorite would be Fame or Shame or Republican Space Rangers.

I haven't checked them out yet, I will in time, it wasn't until over a year of owning GTA IV when I finally checked them out in that game (and I hated The Serrated Edge in that game with a passion), watching TV within the game I'm playing on my TV doesn't currently appeal to me when there is a huge world out there that is full of details and stuff to find (it was only yesterday when I discovered that the mod shop in Peleto Bay has an office interior).

No. GTA IV's was more entertaining.

Nope, but I didn't watch them in IV either. I might give them a shot though.

TV was much better in GTAV than GTA IV. Highlights for me would be the Jack Howitzer documentary.

This is content that I wish would change over time. It could be achieved via feed or DLC. I've watched each "show" once. That's how long the novelty of it lasts. Same goes for the theater and its movies. The only tv show I enjoyed was the Underbelly of LS or something. Impotent Rage was uhh sort of amusing. I thought the political show was a poor example of parody writing for whichever left/right wing side it was supposed to represent. Given past radio advertisements in the GTA series, I expected more from these tv shows and movies.

I don't really like watching most of the TV programs in GTAV. They're a little amusing, but that's it. A quick chuckle, and jokes over. I preferred the shows from GTA IV.

No cause this is a video game not a TV show.

No :/ maybe in the future when I start appreciating this game more after the disaster GTA VI will be, I will probably go back to this game and start doing the small things.

Only time I watched TV was for the 100% checklist, though all I did was sit on the couch and turn the channel on my own TV to ESPN or MLB Network while Michael or whoever was watching TV in-game.

I just realized I've never done this. I'll get around to it at some point I guess. It's sometimes the little things that make me understand the differences between V and previous GTA's.

I thought you would have done so seeing as the PS3 version of the game had less compressed and higher resolution BINK files which made the TV and Cinema stuff actually watchable. :p

Also, for those saying GTA IV had better TV, care to name any shows? Outside of Republican Space Rangers and Princess Robot Bubblegum, the rest was dire, History of Liberty was just unfunny joke after unfunny and Sereted Edge was just sleep inducing, as for I'm Rich, that was just junk.

I think we need to remember this comes down to individual taste. I didn't really get into History Of Liberty, but I liked I'm Rich. None of GTA V's TV shows have interested me enough to watch them for more than a few seconds. One time I literally watched GTA IV's for an hour flipping through different channels.

What was wrong with the ones in V SOL - did you think they were, what's the word, predictable?

I think the quality is pretty much the same, I could be wrong but it feels like there is less variety in V. It always seems to be the same episode of Impotent Rage or Moorehead Rides Again whenever I turn it on, although I did find them pretty funny.

The thing that puts me off is that whenever I turn the TV on it's never at the beginning of a programme, but somewhere in the middle. I've watched some of the films--somewhat 'meh' in general though.

There are multiple episodes for Moorehead,Fame and Shame and i think Republican Space Rangers also have 2/3 different episodes (i could be wrong with the last one cus i havent played the game since March).

Nope. There is only 1 episode of those two shows.

RSR also has only 1 episode in V.

The TV programming was much better in 4 in my opinion... More funny, more variety and each tv show had a certain creative flair that I enjoyed alot!

Princess Robot Bubblegum FTW :p

When you guys talk about more episodes, are you counting EFLC in that? GTA IV only had one episode each just like GTAV has (except for Fame or shame which has two episodes), it was TLAD that added more Republican Space Rangers and TBOGT that added Princess Robot Bubblegum.

Because in hindsight, GTAV has yet to get any TV Updates, so we don't know what's coming yet.
