Player levels should be easier to notice *concept image inside*

Often, I find myself in conflict that is being faced by another player. Should I feel challenged by him or is he low level enough player that he probably wouldn't try anything?

The player may be unarmed at first, but even though I can see the user and his name, if I want to know what level the player is, I'd have to take the time to open up the menu and cross-check for the name, which feels like it's wasted effort.

I'd like to see something of this sort implemented, so that we know what we're dealing with as soon as we have eyes on the person.

Thoughts?

I like the concept overall, but would much rather some sort of red light/ green light system for overall player aggressiveness.

The level isn't nearly important enough for me to want to see it all the time like this though.

People tend to have this crazy misconception that low level = low skill.

Plus for all you know it could be their second character and their first character is like a level 500.

Who cares that much about the player's level? It could be their second character, etc. That looks pretty lame too, I would definitely turn it off if that was an option.

Well, you do need to be a certain level to unlock certain guns. If it's a level 1 character, you wouldn't expect him to whip out an RPG and blow your car up. So I guess this would give you an estimate of the power/variety of the guns this person has.

This is true, I normally don't give it much thought though. Usually it's not even a choice.

JOEsAGGRESSIVE

I like the idea OP but unfortunately its another topic that will be buried into obscurity among the rest of the helpful/cool idea threads. Because this forum doesn't take very well to such conceived notions. Only to be replaced by some jackass who wants our opinion about cops or RR... But I digress.

Hopefully R* will implement something similar to this in the near future.

...or you could just hit the down d-pad arrow...that's the easy way to do it...

...or a level 500 RP glitcher who is basically a level 20 legitimately...

The only thing that a low level shows is the weapons that they have accessible...you know that they can't snipe or can't combat MG you

I was using hyperbole. But as soon as a player unlocks the assault rifle they should be a legitimate "threat."

Whatever the level...I start blastin...

That's funny, how do blast other levels when you claim to only play invite only? Lol...

OP, you can press down on the d-pad once, lol.

^the special carbine isn't level locked, anyone can have it as long as they pay for it, only thin low levels can't do is blow you up from a distance/ snipe. Besides, IIRC R* announced the "player psychology report" or whatever it's called, which I assume will show how aggressive a player is.

Hmmm... It's an idea. I think that Rockstar should relinquish lobby setting controls to the player first though. We need to be able to config custom free roams. I am kind of lost on how R* justifies not giving us that much. They could just turn off events, and activities in the free roam if it is a custom...It doesn't seem like it should be that much of an issue.
