It's not anything serious. Just log out and wait a few hours. Right now the servers are filled to the brim with people going in and out of jobs at an exteremly fast pace. Wait a bit for things to die down some and everything should work fine.

I had this same message while playing missions. It said that the R* cloud was down and my progress couldn't be saved. Seemed to have fixed Itself after I accepted a mission invite from my phone, as the SC is showing all my progress as It should be.

 

Most likely, It is just the server's not being able to handle the load of people who are playing missions and how quick everyone is coming from them. Today is the last day for the 2X RP/$ so definitely some issues will happen.

Yeah, I accepted an invite for a job, and when the screen went to "Launching Session", it just hung there for about five minutes. I had to turn off my game, and when I tried to return, I got the same error message that you described.

I'm getting a cloud servers issue too and have to create a temporary character to play online. That's just f*cked. I was playing just fine earlier.
