Dropping weapons

Does anyone else accidentally drop their weapons online and end up having to fork out 10K a pop everytime it happens to get their carbine or rifle back?

 

Saying this due to the fact in free roam where I'd be switching weapons after a fight, or even in deathmatchs, and then promptly get in a car, but upon the lag of getting in and smashing triangle, I end up losing my weapon.

Yes, I have lost my AP pistol a few times exactly as the OP describes, trying to get in or out of a car while also trying to equip a weapon to defend myself from some asshole, usually one who is unloading a hail of bullets into the car I am driving.

Yeah it sucks, would be alright if we didnt have to scroll through each weapon category when starting playing. Like if we could set which weapons to have the first slot in each category.

You can drop the pistol, but every time you join a new session you'll be given one if you don't have it in your inventory.

 

Always the first thing I do when get online. I hate carrying around stuff I don't want or need.

Yeah of course you can but it's just a waste of time when it will come back anyway.

I still drop it, takes two seconds and then I don't have to deal with it for awhile.

 

Hopefully they add some options to manage this better in a future update.

Yeah, how about a gun cabinet in our apartment/garage that we could store weapons purchased but not needed (such as the 3 other pistols that aren't the AP)?

 

Or once you have bought them, if you do drop them (accidently or on purpose) you can get the back for free at Ammunation?
