If you drop any gun by accident and pick it up - you lose it

Have you unlocked these guns? Or did you just get them from a survival? Cause that never happened to me. Then again, I don't drop my guns just to try to pick them up again

Drop it as in by pressing triangle but if you drop the basic pistol it just keeps coming back

Had this same thing happen with my grenade launcher. I dropped it by mistake, had my character pick It up again, but the game would not register that I had picked It up. Decided to not buy it again because Rocket Launcher > Grenade Launcher

And as for justifying glitching, I lose allot of money by losing weapons for no reason since I have max ammo in them - so why should I grind just to buy the weapons I lose because of R*

How so? B/c it unlocks at a higher level then the grenade launcher?

The RPG is great b/c the projectile flies very fast in a (almost) straight line.

The grenade launcher is great b/c more often than not, the enemy doesn't see the projectile till it's too late, the projectiles can be fired to arc over obstacles.

There are many more pros and cons to each weapon, but IMO, it is worth it to carry both.

In my case, at least. I rarely ever play in public sessions. The majority of the time I play with my crew or friends in invite only sessions, so I didn't see the purpose of me having it. You did make good points though.

^yeah, it is very rare that I pull anything heavier than the combat MG in free-roam....till some griefers show up and we run them outta the lobby. My crew is very active and have a 'don't shoot first' rule, so if there's violence in FM, we didn't start it but we will sure as hell finish it.

 

RPGs in DM to get that sniper on the building, Noob-tube for those times when a straight shot from a bullet won't get there, but an arched shot will. Mini-gun for defending in capture.

Really an empty excuse for glitching. However, as someone who accidentally dropped (and subsequently lost) an AP pistol, while trying to get rid of regular Pistol, I feel your pain.

 

A few things that Rockstar need to do with regard to weapon wheel/selection.

 

A. Remember the last selected weapon preference in each category.

B. Lock weapon wheel/selection, so that we don't accidentally pick up unneeded weapons (especially the freaking pistol!).

Yes. I lost several guns thinking if I drop them I'll pick them up and rearrange their order. Needless to say I had to re-buy 40K worth of fully loaded guns a few months back. All I was originally trying to do was drop the regular sniper rifle so I didn't have to scroll and waste time to get to my Heavy sniper. I thought I had figured something out but nope. I was wronger than a mofo.

I have lost my AP Pistol a couple of times trying to be too quick equipping weapons while at the same time trying to get into a car. Pissed me off.

 

But it's hard to make a case for money glitching out of that scenario. There are a lot more aggravating controller issues that are much worse and cause me problems all the time.

does anyone know how do i remove the extended clip from my regular pistol? you can't get rid of that pistol so at least i want it to stay original you know. the way lamar first gave it to me. i go to ammun nation and unequip the extended clip but it keeps coming back.

Weapons preference is a must. I have dropped Sniper Rifle, the MG's from Micro to standard MG, Sawn-off/Pump Shotgun and some other things to cut down my weapons list and ensure I start with weapons I want to use.

 

That being said, I seem to have kept the Combat Pistol/SMG after dropping them until I do so again.

And I still don't understand the reasoning for dropping your pistol anyway, unless you're THAT burdoned hybhaving to click over once or twice to choose your preferred weapon.
