Four Different Strategies for Rooftop Rumble

Thanks for sharing these. It's always good to see an alternative method or a new take on how to do a mission.

My approach is the hide and do nothing unless I absolutely have to as I am sick of Rooftop Rumble.

Then why the hell do you accept the invite?

I hate people like you. Im supposed to do all the work while you sit their twiddling your thumbs? Forget that

I don't. I join missions from an Invite Only session via the Quick Job option on the phone. If I was to quit Rooftop Rumble everytime I landed in it, I'd do about 1 mission every 3 hours.

By the time you respawn back into free roam just fire your minigun at their car until it catches on fire so they pay for it. I also had a method where you get their car impounded whilst they are afk, then use a cargobob to lift their car back on top of a building near the afk player, since they can't request the vehicle and usually end up looking for the car. The only way to get it back is to destroy it by requesting another vehicle.

It's ridiculous to me that so many posters here are advocating the use of sticky bombs, grenades, launchers, and helicopters. You guys realize that the only reason to do RR is for money and by using the most expensive weapons in the game you are only reducing your net payout, right?

The most efficient way is pistol headshots standing on the hedges then making your escape in a super car. Any other method is wasteful and time consuming.

quit crying and host your own missions

How is using a helicopter time consuming when its gets you to your destination quicker?

Who says I'm crying? The only one that's moaning is you about players that do nothing. You try getting other players interested in Rooftop Rumble - ain't gonna happen. I know, 'cos I've tried and I've rolled solo for long enough. Just the way it is.

Maybe get clued up next time......

How exactly am I "crying"? The only one moaning about it is you as you are under the impression I care.

I've played all the missions and they are all more entertaining than Rooftop Rumble.

Now you can stop derailing the thread.

It's not, but it is wasteful because you are spending an incredibly unnecessary $1000. If you're a good driver in a super car the time difference vs a helicopter is negligible.

I guess....

but to me 1k is worth the extra 30-45 seconds it buys you

if youre that strapped for money, you can easily make it back buy killing a couple of npcs

(Solo)Pistol whip method only works if you pick up their guns/ammo before they hit the ground now. Hitting the three guys up front and "placing"(Do not drop) a sticky on the Gauntlet and the Granger they stand near and blowing them up as you whip the last two near the getaway car works too.

I love the pistol whipping method, if it only I could get it to work effectively like you did. Oh well, at the very least the pistol whipping method works on taking out the first 3 guys in the front entrance which is what I do while everyone else gets in their position.

I joined random RR's a bunch of times this weekend. Here's my method

don't bring a car

Jump on wall and shoot til case drops

steal car, drive across bridge and rob Amunation $400 - $500 payout

totally agree with everything, except pistol. "Autoshotty"

I think the kids get bored grinding and they like the explosions. They're not concerned with being the Troll that blows up the case either.

I dunno if it works against human players but for whatever reason NPCs don't seem to be able to shoot you very well in the rapid gt and carbonizzare. There might be other cars but I know those 2 work for sure top up or down. There is another video on my channel dedicated to the rapid gt and what it can do if you want to see.

I usually order a MW helo and hit the bushes. $1000 is no big deal, one run lets me do that 18 times, 37 over this weekend. I am sick to death of this job and try to just do others that are more interesting with roughly equal payouts. I will try the pistol whip and Dewbauchee methods next time I do it though.

I've been wondering why you drove that Rapid GT!, mystery solved. The sandking xl has the same effect in RR. You can drive in and sit there almost forever without getting shot or just drive over everyone and use no ammo at all. I think the fastest I've seen it done was with a minigun and miniguns have free ammo at the moment. I tried a few times to get my buzzard in time to pick up the case but arrived only in time to take out the first SUV, actually in a session with LPGTAO standing around the corner I think. Not sure if that was after a pistol whipping or shootout as I was getting the buzzard. You could use a buzzard to save 1000$ on helicopter pickup but you might have to wait an extra 10 seconds for it.

Yea i did pw method the other night, not sure what happened but they got mad......ive had their guns drop n fire n get the other dudes attention too.

Also saw vid where someone ran up to the 3-4 where the package drops, whip only them, and somehow get out wo much trouble....but i dont remember the details.

No real need for advanced strategies, mission is real easy w 3-4 players w assault rifles

JC Hammer

Can't even here a word that person is saying in any of those videos

Who cares? Who really needs strategy lessons for what might be the easiest mission in the entire game?

Coming next, OP's video "How to shoot fish in a barrel"
