randomher0
Hello, can someone help, i get this error ""The Game was restarted due to a problem with disc". Everything was ok until i tried to start "meltdown" mission and now it also crashes randomly. As i can see many ppl have this problem, but what's fix for this? Also rockstar games should do something about that, it's their fault or isn't it ?
~Tiger~
rockstar games should do something about that, it's their fault or isn't it ? Hello, no, this issue is not due to Rockstar but indicates that you have a problem with your console, usually due to dust on the read lens or drive mechanism. Try using a good quality lens cleaner (the ones you use to clean DvD players). If this doesn't work, don't try to fix the drive yourself, have your console professionally serviced. randomher0
Other games work just fine, only gta crash. There's so many other ppl who also have this problem, so it can't be just console problem. I googled it, and same topics are all over internet, but i can't find solution for that
~Tiger~
Other games work just fine, only gta crash. This doesn't change the fact that the error message "The Game was restarted due to a problem with disc" is a console or disc issue. Sometimes a faulty console will play one disc but not others or the other way around. The only way to be 100% certain is to try the disc in another console. If the error message appears when you try in another console your disc is faulty. If it does not, please refer to my first reply. I have also googled this issue and all the advice posted states the same advice that I gave you in my first reply.
Midnightz
Well, two XBOX 360s and two GTA V discs later, I still get this issue every other time I play. The only resolution I've found is to just eject the disc and then send the tray back in. There's issues with GTAO freezing too. EDIT: It's possible that XBOX just sucks, lol. ~Tiger~
EDIT: It's possible that XBOX just sucks, lol. My XBox often refuses to play certain DvDs (not all DvDs) and after searcing online it is quite a common problem with no easy solution, except to keep launching the disc read from the main menu or as Midnightz suggests, eject and load repeatedly until the disc reads. That said, I have never had this problem with any game disc (touch-wood).
Midnightz
I should probably note that neither of my XBOX 360s were modded in any way. (I've read that some hardware and firmware modifications can cause this too.)
