Confirmed spring updates coming in May

Just to remind you guys that Rockstar never said Heist is coming. They just said that we will hear more info about Heist soon. It's just an info!

 

I repeat, Just-An-Info about Heist.

 

Stop expecting Heist to come anytime soon so it won't hurt your feeling when it's not there next week or month. Most likely they'll release Heist as the final content of GTA Online.

They did say in the first spring update post: "Heists: Coming this spring to Grand Theft Auto Online..."

Only 1-2 weeks between 2 major(ish) updates from R*? Never gonna happen, they love to take their time with releasing stuff. They even released the latest patch and launched the capture creator separately for crying out loud.

 

I don't expect anything till May, then the heists only close to (or in) June.

IMHO, I would call Capture creator anything but a major release. Also, it's been 6 weeks since the last DLC came out.

na... they will need to release more content for us to spend our hard earned heist dollar

I think high life will be out this weekend or next then heists before the end of may.

I think it'd be smart for them to release it this Friday to be honest. There'll be a lot of people not working until Tuesday. So that's 4 days of people playing with new content and buying cash cards.

 

If not then I'd expect some sort of Easter mini-update or something.

I think this is absolutely the case (long weekend, new garages that people are going to want to fill w/cars = cash cards), but I just don't think it'll happen as much as I'd love to see it Friday. I think you may get the announcement of high life update on 4/20 (in terms of exactly when it will be and more details) and then the actual update is either Tuesday or within a couple of Tuesdays.

 

I'd guess heists end of May.

So are you going to immediately purchase a second property and new vehicles and HOPE that there are no glitches or complications that may occur? ...or just wait it out for a bit and see if anything happens?

I don't think there's going to be an issue with the new DLC, to be honest.
I'm saving up money for a 2nd garage in the desert (if there is one), move my offroad vehicles there (if I can) and leave it at that until I get more cash. Basically, all my money is for a 2nd place. If a glitch does happen and I lose my garage and the cars I moved, I'll probably put ketchup on my wrists and send R* pictures saying, "ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?!"

Except Friday is Good Friday leading into a weekend most non-troglodytes spend with family. This means extra pay for engineering and support staff to deal with any potential problem.

 

I still think if its not today (and that's looking unlikely), its next Tuesday. Seems like a wasted opportunity to do a tongue in cheek 4/20 tie-in, but they also skipped an opportunity to announce anything on 4/1, which was a perfect time to release legitimate news and actually mess with people.

I don't want to buy into the nonsense Cash Card Conspiracy, but it makes sense to release your newest list of buyable content before you release the tool to provide a higher-stakes payout to buy them.

 

Because, yes, people who can't be bothered to grind or cheat will absolutely buy the new content providing a rush of new activity to the game for a week or two. Follow that up with Heists, another major release, and we can go ahead and count on the same activity increase.
