Confirmed spring updates coming in May

It's about time R* pulled their heads out of their asses and released some actual information about what they've got in the works, honestly that huge list was just refreshing to read through. Sure we don't know when well be getting most of that stuff, but it's nice to have some idea of what to expect moving forward.

 

And of course this heists information in particular has been long, long overdue, now we know at least roughly how long it'll be (and how long it won't be, i.e. longer than three months). Also it's nice to hear confirmation that we're getting multiple properties, it was annoying to have it be just supposition that it would be happening. The only thing that strikes me as overtly bad is the addition of Ghost mode in races, but with all the goodies they're adding I think I'll manage.

Heists will be added most likely somewhere around July-August. If delayed, September.

Uhh...I'm pretty sure that July-August is summer, not spring. I hope you werent being serious.

 

And heists being delayed until September? WHAT?!?!

What reason would they have to delay heists? You think a team of skilled programmers who have 5 years if experience in the development of the game don't know how to add something as simple as heists? Wot mate?

Rockstar don't usually wait ages from an announcement before making the update available (well, except for heists), so is it too much to hope that it'll come today...?

New Apts or the option to customize the existing ones in either case will be welcome

I do hope upgrading some of the properties outside the city is an option

 

The new weapons and cars will be welcomed on my part

The Clothing well i could care less about that......I have always been a Jeans and shirt guy......

 

The No Contact Option during races leaves me a little unsettled

I hate racing with rammers who do so for no reason or are to scared to go head to head and see who can win from ....Yes i know rubbing is racing and it does happen..........but rubbin and rammin are two completely different things

The transparent option will make the race feel like a ghost race and make make them boring ....I would liked to have saw penaltys added at the end of the race that took away cash and RP points for making contact with other vehicles in the race, and with enough contact you might end up with negative cash and points...

 

Heists will be welcomed when it arrives, as will any new job content

 

after playing this game for 6 months i have been pleased with the starting content and the content released so far......hell it has been free so whats to grumble about

They could easily use the front gate. We ring and go each in our own mansion or in one of our friends. It's possible. Because technically if all your friends using the Eclipse Towers, Apt 31 or so, you all have the same garage and the same apartment. And each one can see outside but no one can see the people which are in there. They could use the same technic for the mansions. You can walk around can see anyone beside from these people which are in the same mansion like you are and nobody can see you in your mansion.

 

Please don't say that this means more suits

Yea. It's really pointless. Every suit is more or less the same only different colors or so. They should add all the things from SP. I mean Franklin can even have earrings so why not add these to MP? Even if it's a DLC which you have to buy or so. We need more T-Shirts and Jackets and so on and on and on...

 

What do you think about a bigger garage for the new properties? 12 cars maybe? Unlikely, I think. But I hope.

Anyhow I will settle for 20 happily, the 4 new vehicles and the cars I want in my first garage but cant find space for will fit in perfect

And they said: "multi-property ownership in GTA Online, which means you'll be able to own two distinct properties (with garages) simultaneously" That means you can buy for example the Eclipse Towers, Apt 31 twice or the Eclipse Towers, Apt 31 and the Weasel Plaza, Apt 101 etc. And each one has only a 10 car garage that means according to Cocker only a 20 car garage.

Or at least that is what I understand from what R* is saying...

The option for the high-end apartments can be a different interior, so everyone can chose their own interior for each apartment.

Things I like the most in these updates in order:

 

1. Non-contact racing

2. Physics being reverted back

3. Capture Creator

4. More garage space

5. New motorcycle

 

The rest is all good, but not really bothered either way.

 

R*'s done good.

 

For anyone bitching at non-contact, you can turn it off. Variety's the spice of life.

What do they mean with new jobs? Missions or just jobs?

 

We can create everything but parachuting, survivals and missions.

 

There simply is no need for races, dm's (and captures after the update)

Didn't even realize they ever tweaked the bike physics, but they seem really fine to me at the moment, i have been pulling off backflips in blaine county for the last to days on my sanchez and it works just fine, why are they going back ?

Well it's taken them over six months to even put out a vague release date for heists, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're delayed until September.

Customize your apartment? Has this been confirmed? I thought it was just new apartments with different interior.

At first I thought it may have meant customisation however I'm leaning towards just new apartments with a different interior and different things to do inside. BUT I'm hoping that apartment customisation does come at some point.

Didn't even realize they ever tweaked the bike physics, but they seem really fine to me at the moment, i have been pulling off backflips in blaine county for the last to days on my sanchez and it works just fine, why are they going back ?

It's more of a longer distance thing stunts are still possible but the bike in air time was reduced quite a bit vs old way.

They really should add an option where it makes a certain gun your default gun in each category (pistols, rifles, heavy weapons, etc.) They seem to be adding more and more weapons with each update, and it is starting to get to the point where it will become tedious having to look through all of your guns to get the one you want.
