And let's face it, mansions really ain't practical given the limited number of places on the map.. I mean, what if you and all your friends buy the same mansion. then what?

 

Can't wait to see the DNS level adjustment working... I mean, I've seen sooooo many level 700s that play as if they've just got out of the tutorial... last one involved a level 500 that couldn't quite figure out the sticky-bomb-on-the-corner-of-the-wall-you're-about-to-hide-behind trick...

 

One thing though... any word on them sorting out the invicibility cheat I've seen so much of recently?? Wherein people appear passive but can shoot?? That's a proper pain, specially when you unload a shotgun into someone and they just walk up to you and pistol you...

 

And a big HELL YEAH about having more than one garage...

I can finally have one filled with muscle cars and sports classics, then a more functional one as my second..

 

Now, are they going to let us do garage transfers though? That's the question.... I presume we may be able to though, since it'll be the same character in the same session with two garages if you get me...fingers crossed on that one!

Really pleased about this update. It looks like R* are finally getting their sh*t together after 6 months. This and the last few updates have been phenomenal.

Please don't say that this means more suits

 

I love my suits IRL so I can't complain about more suits in game. They really need to fix the black trousers so they are the same shade as the black suit jacket cos the colour is off and don't match, however I suspect (and somewhat hope), that since we do now have an abundance of suits/formal wear, they will begin to release some gang themed threads such as Ballas and Families clothing.

IF that's the case, it might even allow for arranging cars at last..

Good point, I hate that all my smaller lowered cars are parked at the back of my garage and all the larger ones, like my Merryweather Mesa are at the front. We seriously need to be able to rearrange them and I hope this update provides the means to do so.

It's about time R* pulled their heads out of their asses and released some actual information about what they've got in the works, honestly that huge list was just refreshing to read through. Sure we don't know when well be getting most of that stuff, but it's nice to have some idea of what to expect moving forward.

 

And of course this heists information in particular has been long, long overdue, now we know at least roughly how long it'll be (and how long it won't be, i.e. longer than three months). Also it's nice to hear confirmation that we're getting multiple properties, it was annoying to have it be just supposition that it would be happening. The only thing that strikes me as overtly bad is the addition of Ghost mode in races, but with all the goodies they're adding I think I'll manage.

Heists will be added most likely somewhere around July-August. If delayed, September.

Heck, why not have a console setup with your apartment TV, so you can play Vice City. And then, on Vice City, you can play on the Degenatron arcade machines.

Multiple properties are obviously handy for the garage space but the housing itself is pretty much pointless as there is nothing to do in them. Heists may add something but I imagine you are only going to spend a little amount of time at the beginning of the heist in there and the rest doing the various stages of the heist.

 

I am eager to see how the heists turn out as I think they have the potential to either be really good or a waste of time. A couple of concerns I have:

 

1. Payment. They have to be worth the time, which will be tricky for Rockstar because if the heists are generating several million to be shared out between the players then their cash cards are going to take a hit. It wouldn't surprise me if they come out too low and end up getting tweaked.

 

2. Difficulty in joining a heist. Heists sound like the perfect system for Crew members to join up together. How difficult is it going to be for someone to join a heist comprised of random players especially if they aren't in a crew currently or an active one. I know some players who want to remain unaffiliated to a crew.

 

The cars look ok, it will be better to see them in the flesh so to speak before making a judgement and seeing their overall performance.

This is exciting news indeed.

 

I'm honestly most excited for the lester no cops option. I love running and gunning in free roam but hate dealing with the stupid cops. Hopefully there will be multiple options for time frames. Say 1000 for 5 minutes with no cops or 10,000 for 30 minutes.

 

Also, I'm curious about how the multiple properties are going to work. The said in two different districts so I assume that means the properties can't be too close to each other.

 

Its a shame we aren't getting mansions. That would be awesome.

I have a feeling the "no cops" option will be like the "off radar" option...giving you just one minute of time...hopefully more though...as you said, if you pay for it.

Rockstar don't usually wait ages from an announcement before making the update available (well, except for heists), so is it too much to hope that it'll come today...?
