Davis313
So I was playing GTA 5 the other day and stumbled across a few abandoned cars around the area. I admit I haven't played any previous Grand Theft Autos before 5 (unless the first GTA for PC counts) so I was just curious as to what these cars could be abandoned versions of? I know this one is the Vapid Uranus, simply because I googled "Foxbody Mustang Grand Theft Auto." Don't know this one. Looks like some sort of GM pickup, I'm not sure what it is either though. Tacymist
The pick up is the Rancher from GTA IV. Having trouble identifying the sedan though. Sussus Amongus

GTAIV Sentinal/GTA 3 "Beamer" ? or Solair? there are so many rusty wrecks out there, would be cool if they implemented a feature where we could collect these car and rebuild them.. Costar
Well the first pic we can say is the Uranus from IV and like Tacymist said, the truck is the Rancher but the other vehicle honestly loox a bit generic like some RL Toyota or Honda. Of all the 4-door cars in IV, there might be some similarities but I'd say none of them really match up to that body, IF R* didnt take a body style from one of their previous games then they may have just made up that body. @ lokdogiv, the car in Sylvania's post is the Solair station wagon but he changed it to a sedan. As he said "The whole conversion to a sedan was done by me, so i had to remodel a new trunk and added a spoiler and some other funky things, it was tough but worth it, yes." He did a very nice job too lokdogiv
Voggs
There are "abandoned" cars in some parts near Mount Chiliad, but they're all in good shape, nothing compared to the ghost cars, except this weird car wreck around Mt Chiliad State Wilderness . I found this at night a long time ago using the flashlight, I was quite surprised. Edited May 3, 2014 by Voggens HOW'S ANNIE?
Pyrrhic
Looks like it's based on the Deluxo to me. Edit: re-read your post sorry, you're right, it is a Uranus. Edited May 3, 2014 by Linc.

Tacymist
pfffffffffft. To make this post less spammy I'm just going to point out that the wreck in that Chiliad State Wilderness pic is a Blista Compact. Costar
Gutslab
these were found on day 1 but still it's nice to see people notice them my best guess for this is that it's a four door sedan version of the GTA SA Manana Tacymist

Pyrrhic
It's way too long to be a Manana, the Manana was probably the shortest car in the game apart from the Club. I don't think it's actually been in a game before, the only thing looks a bit like a Willard or a Primo (albeit with a shorter wheel-base) from GTA IV or even the Nebula from GTA SA: Edited May 3, 2014 by Linc. Tycek
There is wrecked Bobcat XL, but with much smaller wheel arches, Dundreary Admiral, and Declasse Sabre (very likely), but with extended wheel arches. The sedan you can't identify was never shown in GTA before, but it's taken from Max Payne 3. And of course there are van (which is beta Burrito) and Willard Faction, which I forgot about. Bonnano
I strongly believe that the sedan is the car that the DiMarco enforcers drove in Max Payne 3. Hell, the Max Payne 3 cars can make up for a very good DLC indeed. Edited May 3, 2014 by Bonnano Sussus Amongus

Costar
I'd say most of those cars have similarities to that *unknown* sedan and its hard to see, does it have a fuel-filler door on the driver's side rear right near the tail light? If so that would lend more credence to Pomlei's suggestion but there are still differences from all of the vehicles pictured thus far. If we're really looking closely, we'll see the wrecked vehicle has some unique features from all the others as far as I can see, rear fender flare/opening - looks more square than round (I just dont recall any 4-door GTA sedans w/ square rear-wheel wells), it has wide rear pillar, hood is different from all - its not raised in the center as much as the SA Vincent, also the front seats have headrests, most of the other cars dont, the one from MaxP has rear ones but the wrecked car does not, clearly the bumpers are unique. Lots of subtle features that still separate this one. Its possible that R* could've just taken one of the cars, stretched/rearranged things maybe it is some updated version of the SA Vincent, I have no idea. Of course it has been *forever* since I played GTA 3/VC/SA, its still interesting tho to look for one that might match it.

Even though it has the Max Payne car's influence, it seems to have differences. And the square wheel well? That's pretty unique. Might have been a beta car, or (this is very far fetched) a DLC car. SabreVC
Ford Sierra Toyota Cressida Chevy K5 Blazer That actually looks pretty sick. Graphics and Detail wise. Because it's not an open world game and with games like that R* wants to push them to the limit detail and graphic wise. They are usually known for the amazing detail they put in the games they make. Im guessing thats why.
