RoadRunner71
Hey people, have any of you ever experienced insomnia? I've been suffering it since a few weeks ago, consequence I guess of the stress/anxiety my current situation gives me. Even if I exercise and get really tired, when I get in bed I can't fall asleep, just toss and turn in bed until my patience is over. I just can sleep when I can't stand any longer awake, normally at dawn. Fortunately, my schedule allows me to recover few sleep hours at morning, yet normally not enough. The only thing that has worked so far are some pills the doctor gave me to sleep, but I don't want to get used and depend on them. I hope this is just a temporary thing because it's f*cking up my life. So have anyone else ever suffered from insomnia? did you overcome it? If so, how? theadmiral
Do you sleep in ? Wake up at 6 or 7AM and either exercise or work during the day. Try going for a couple KM run at night a few hours before bed.

Whybot182
I feel your pain, I've had it most of my life from bad experences from when I was young, nothing works to take care of it, I just kinda shrug it off & deal with it, my way of dealing with it is just doing daily activities/hobbies & try not to let it bother me too much really.. Red XIII
Do you have a full time job? I shouldn't really recommend this but if you are desperate try smoking a marijuana joint before bed, its a luxury and does no more harm than a glass of wine, just don't abuse it. I can't wake up at 6 or 7 am because at that is when I fall alseep. This thing of going to bed and wake up early doesn't work because it doesn't matter the time I go bed, I can't fall asleep. theadmiral
I wish I had this problem actually. I have a hard time staying up past 2100 or 2200. You need to force yourself to get on a regular schedule. After a week or two of misery it will take hold. Edited May 2, 2014 by theadmiral
universetwisters
I've been getting it a lot lateley. Well, not really insomnia. But still, I go to bed around my usual time and I wake up later than I usually do on school mornings. I usually wake up at 5:30 and I head out the door around 6. Now I've been waking up at 5:50. theadmiral

No, luckily until the afternoon I don't have anything to do so that allows me to sleep some hours during the morning. To be honest, I've been really considering that. Though the last joint I smoked f*cked up my throat and as I'm no longer in touch with most of my old mates I don't have on hand any pot. I wish I had this problem actually. I have a hard time staying up past 2100 or 2200. You need to force yourself to get on a regular schedule. After a week or two of misery it will take hold. I could try it though taking the pills I'm trying to avoid as I'm already tired of spending the days tired for not sleeping enough. By the way, to those who have insomnia, what do you do when you can't sleep? I mean, do you stay in bed or wake up and do other activities? 018361
I have never had it. Well, actually I have had trouble falling asleep and sometimes I can't sleep a whole night through for the last few years. Oh and totally awesome on-topic music.
