Question regarding certain military vehicles.

Let's start off by saying that GTA Online is not perfect, and is a work in progress. One thing Rockstar may want to consider however is tweaking the game's most destructive vehicles, which are the Rhino Tank, and the P-996 Lazer fighter jet. Now I've been playing GTA online since early November, and one thing that did not make sense to me is the infinite ammo and lack of overheating issues on both military vehicles. Since there is no waiting time for ordering a Pegasus vehicle, implementation of limited ammo for the two vehicles and overheating should not be a problem.

As far as I am concerned, I could care less about using these vehicles against other players. If it's in the game and available for anyone to use, it shouldn't be a problem. I bring this up because I admire the work of art Rockstar created and the highly detailed environment. Adding these features, in my view, would make the game more challenging, and more realistic.

In case you didn't read my wall of words, the short message is add more realistic elements to the game.

I agree with OP that both these vehicles are OP

I believe your perspective is in regards to freeroam. I believe they do not have this restriction because of their usage in missions primarily, and R* didn't/couldn't/wouldn't make ammo limited in freeroam and then unlimited in missions.

Should they have finite ammo capacity? I believe so, but what is the balance between gameplay and realism? Is that so hard to nail down because every player has a different perspective on what that means? Any decision would be wrong to a vocal minority.

Vehicles should require gas, like that Jets and Tanks will have to get pit stops and the second the pilot/driver steps out; Wham! But that will never happen

A modern battle tank carries 50 rounds or less for its main gun, and modern fighter aircraft usually about 600 rounds at 6,000 rounds per minute.

That's 10 secs to empty.

Well, the game is centered around crime, and role playing. I understand if one doesn't want to encounter tank or jet griefers, one should play in an invite only session, but if you're like me, I like to meet new and friendly people (yes they exist in the world of GTA). Rockstar has performed an excellent job at creating this game, especially on two platforms utilizing near obsolete hardware. Rockstar's attention to detail shows they have the ability to do what was listed above, that is tweaking the war machines. Edited by Bounty33

The jet isn't as op as the tank because they have to be good at aiming and not kill themselves. Tanks need to be slower and the turret turn slower.

One should use their ammunition efficiently.

That's not a bad idea. That's another way of incorporating real life elements into a role playing game, and there are probably more out there.

After all, this game is a work in progress.

With that much ammo, a merryweather special ammo delivery should be implemented in the game. This game is centered around crime, so stealing other user's ammo would not be a surprising image, and would make the game more challenging.
