I really don't see the point in NPC bounties. Do they serve any meaning besides pissing you off? I had a 9k bounty on me for a long time, then I get in a cop chase and they kill me, but I survive the bounty. But the cops impound my car, so I start walking saying to myself "don't steal a car because you will get a bounty". I see this jeep on the side of the road and take it... Yep, 5k bounty! How can you play a game called GRAND THEFT AUTO without stealing cars? Anyone else hate NPC bounties?

If you go into passive mode before you get in a random vehicle, it drastically (if not eliminates) the chances of getting an NPC bounty placed on you.

Don't be such a baby. And don't take what's not yours. Don't do the crime if you run like a scared b!tch when a 1000 dollar bounty gets put on you.

So don't do crimes in a crime game? Did you fall down the stairs?

No and no. Love the bounties. It brings people to me for me to kill, instead of having to drive around and wait for ppl to shoot at me. I find it funny when I kill someone like ten times all for a $1k bounty. (They just lost $5k in hospital bills)

Have you stop breastfeeding ? This is really the silliest thing to cry about in this game. Let someone kill you or be awesome like me and wait it out.

Could sometimes get a bit annoying(rarely) but not to the point for it to be removed...but that's jut my opinion.

this all day. I love trolling. When you get a 9k on your head it's like shoot noobs in a barrel .

Even better: kill the driver. Apparently, being dead dramatically reduces NPCs' ability to place bounties on you... ;)

I like them. I also like to get one just before I get my tank out. Like moths to a flame.

Shake 'N Bake

I think they add a bit of excitement to the game to be honest. I don't think they should patched to where they are less likely to happen. I think they should be worth twice as much as a player placed bounty. This would make it more appealing for players to outlive their bounty.

Don't get rid of them, just have them activate for stealing expensive cars only. It makes no sense getting a bounty put on your head that's worth more than the rusty VW you jacked from a toothless hillbilly in Sandy Shores.

What i hate is when you get into a room and you run to the nearest car for a free ride and 9 times our of 10 it's a car that simone wants and you get two stars off the bat. That's something they should get rid of. Not NPC bounties .

The only time they annoy me is when the NPC is a tightwad and only puts $1k or $3k on me...

Michael wouldn't be a little bitch like that.

And what happens when you steal a car that's just sitting on the side of the road? Kill the nonexistent owner?

Are you kidding that's the best part about stealing cars

No, cause then I have to drive around top speed for 45 minutes waiting for the bounty to get removed.

I would say I get a bounty put on me about 10-20% of the time when I jack a NPC vehicle. That's ok with me.

I just survived a bounty, then I get another. It totally kills the game.

Either way, it's 45 minutes of running.

You do realise once you die, you then can continue the game without a bounty?

These actually make the game more interesting.. if you can't embrace it.. go about your business like you don't have one.. Someone shoots you, guess what.. just keep playing..

seriously..

So far I have had luck going into passive, stealing the car, and then getting out for a couple seconds. Sometimes the pissed off owner may try and kill you. Run around with them chasing you and see if you can get them hit by another car. Or go out of passive mode after 10 sec or so and kill them. I have yet to get a bounty doing this. I only do this if I'm in the middle of something and don't want to be interrupted by a bounty chase so I admittedly haven't done it a lot.

No, the game would be more interesting if bounties could only be set by players.

As someone who knows wall breachers steal vehicles only to get bounties and then hide in a wall to attract players to their death...Nah its not a problem (too me) I steer clear of that and or Kill them with a Tank or Sniper. I also like getting suddenly chased down by players in their server so I can go fast.

My whole point is 2 in a row!? At least give us a 30 min buffer to be able to steal cars. Not to mention how you could get a lot of money by doing this with a friend.

You would think, but I think you can still get a bounty on you. I did the Thelma & Louise easter egg, sniped the driver, and when i stole the car I got a bounty put on me. I don't mind that much though, because if you survive the bounty it's free money.

It's always a way to make money for yourself as long as you survive it
