Dammit! I really wanted to get a Mesa with a top on it, now I'm stuck with the topless one. You can't sell these things, and I'm pretty annoyed with mine.

I got this from a gang fight, and tried the glitch to make it sellable, but now it says it was modded by another player, like WTF? No it wasn't, lol. Bullsh!t.

I got that when trying to save a Daemon, it seems Rockstar are now content to flat out lie to us. They seem determined to stop us stealing certain cars, in this game about stealing cars.

Vehicles from gang fights have been a no-go for a while now. But the hotwash used to work to enable selling/owning. It definitely didn't used to say modded by another player.

I helped a dude get one yesterday (Mesa) in an invite only session, he called them on me and when they got out, he got in and took it straight to LSC and then to his garage. Has it been hot-patched overnight?

 

This was on 360 btw.

Nope, everyone is tripping, and got all of the information confused, okay lets slow down here, lol...

 

...The Merryweather Mesa, Offroad CAN be stored, and it CAN be done so by simply driving it into LSC, BUT it CANNOT be driven into your Garage, at least until after you have placed the tracker on it. So you CANNOT get a FREE tracker for the Merryweather Mesa...

 

...Same thing for the Daemon I believe...

 

...Now the other problem is obtaining these vehicles, these vehicles can NO LONGER be obtained from Gang Fights, Missions, or Simeon's Wanted Vehicles(The Green Iconed Ones, not the lists), this is due to the lack of a cleaning/untainting method at this time. This also means at this time there is NO way to sell the Merryweather Mesa.

 

Anyways, I hope this helps clear everything up, both vehicles can be stored, neither can be driven directly into your garage UNTIL you have placed a tracker on them at LSC.

Hell here is a supposed method posted else where on the net, IDK if it actually works, looks similar to what I had posted here on my Exploits/Glitches Thread but WTH you might want to give it a try. I will when I get home. OH just a heads up, it is NOT SOLO.

(And if this works not only could you SELL the Merryweather Mesa, and store either from Gang Fights, Missions, or Simeon's Wanted Vehicles, but you could give away vehicles that you have modded[as long as you haven't trackered them].)

Why not just start up a mission that involves the MW Mesa then drive it into your garage before the mission ends. That's how I found my Rumpo, Manana, and Rancher XL. I assume you would only get an error message upon entering your garage if you have a mission objective and the MW Mesa would appear as a npc car.

Your correct, you cannot remove the front bumper with the winch, if you have every thing set to "00"(Except Paint, Wheel Color, & Tint) this is what your MW Mesa will look like

Another trick I learned too would be to have a friend call on you, then kill the mercs as normal. You join a contact mission from your phone, they get a refund. Immediately back out so merryweather is off your back and drive on to lsc or your garage. That's how I got the jeep on my 2nd char.

If I'm not mistaken, you can call Merryweather on a friend, and just kill them yourself. You should receive a phone call and a full refund, and you're friend doesn't have to die.

 

A good place to perform this is Simeon's dealership. Have your friend climb that ladder to the roof of the dealership and take cover behind the far A/C unit (or whatever they are), away from the ladder. You call the mercs on your friend and simply stand ground level and pick them off as they arrive, as they'll be preoccupied with aggressively pursuing their target (your friend). You may get a wanted level, but it shouldn't be too difficult to evade those stars.

 

Plus, two or three MW Mesas will arrive, and typically, there will be both variations (with roll cages, of course).
