Reporting Dodgy players- dick move?

Do you think it is a dick move to report players with the dodgy status? This will instantly put them into bad sports as the report function will give them bad sports points and they are short before hitting this mark. I honestly did it a few times but got tired quick.

I love how butthurt players in GTA (going back to GTA4, mind you) get so upset when you shoot them or blow their cars up, that they submit a player review saying you are "unsporting."

If you don't like how another player is playing GTA, then either play a different game or move to a new session.

Seriously, reporting someone for modifying the game to have a ridiculous advantage (ie. godmode) is one thing, but reporting someone for spawnkilling or being "dodgy" is just persnickety.

Move along home if you can't play in the street with the big kids.

OP think about it this way - you know when your training a puppy and they piss on the rug? You have to rub their nose in it and whack them with a newspaper so they realize what they have done is wrong. The same applies here. If you don't rub these douchebags noses in their stupidity and whack them with a report then they will just never learn.

It depends on what they're doing and if you've actually seen them do anything. You wouldn't call 911 on someone who's jaywalking. At least I hope you wouldn't.

 

 

Have you seen them actually do anything? Yeah, it is.

 

Is some kid freaking out and telling the whole lobby to report them and not giving a clear answer why? Yes.

 

Is a big free roam deathmatch taking place and PVs have been getting blown up left and right by everyone involved? Yes.

 

Are they spawnkilling a passive level 5 in the GSD with their crew for 10 minutes? I think it's warranted.

 

Were they camping passive players with the firetruck hose when it was still functional? I think it's warranted.

 

Are they killing players in their garages? Warranted.

 

Are they using god-mode? Warranted.

 

Were they using other 'harmful' mods or glitches? Warranted.

 

 

Just use your best judgment if you have it. If you have to ask yourself whether or not you should report someone just don't do it.

you don't read the little box that pops up do you....if you make false reports...you are the one who is penalized...take that into consideration.

Depends. If they do something to deserve it (attacking afk player, attacking a car meet, waiting outside garage to kill whoever comes out defenseless) it's OK. If there's no reason it's stoopid to report.

You're right man. I don't know WHAT I was thinking. If you're in a public lobby you are OBVIOUSLY there to be douchebag bait. I think it even says in the GTAO EULA that if you're in a public session then you automatically agree to be a bullet sponge. Thank you for setting me straight.

A dodgy player is probably being a dick... Reporting them for no reason is just a bitch move. So its not a counter..

 

 

 

Anyone who reports anyone for anything other then modding/glitching to gain a huge advantage over pvp aspects of the game is just being a bitch about it.

 

Especially if you are sitting there checking player stats and reporting dodgy players who have done nothing to said player.

 

 

As far as im concerned. A dodgy player who gets that status from blowing up PV probably did it without a tank. Which to me makes him less of a bitch

I have about 90% avoidance . still a 5 star rep. Id blame COD WaW and GTA IV for that

reporting someone because your butthurt is dumb

also, R* checks your profile too if you report someone. so if you have been glitching a lot of cash. it makes no sense to report someone else for money glitching
