chainsoar
I noticed one of the crews on the Rockstar front page recently (an MC) have a thing in the bio on their website making a huge deal about not being a 1% (outlaw) club. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but given that ANY crew in GTA commits more crime on a daily basis than any rogue motorcycle club, mafia crime family, or Crips street gang on a daily basis, surely they're outlaws by default? My question is, in GTA Online, is the 1% status considered to be a symbol that your crew is involved in the silly 'turf war' stuff with all the assassination notices and whatnot? Or are these guys just being weird? Or, then again, maybe they're just trying to set themselves apart from the crews that take it way too seriously and enforce IRL MC rules in the game (I actually saw a crew recently who have a completely separate crew for the President's girlfriend so she could wear a crew tag on her back that read 'PROPERTY OF [guy's name]'). the_samich
Ho Lee sh*t. If people take it that serious, I am speechless.
ashbashbluesfan
I don't believe the 1% means anything in-game it's just copied from real life MC's. If they say they are not a 1% club then perhaps it's more of a bike enthusiast crew rather than the traditional outlaw kind, maybe they just have bike meets and cruises etc. I've never had any of these assassination notices, but I guess it's kind of a unique thing to do. Lot's of the MC's in game base their rules on real life MC's, the 1 I'm in seem really cool and we just help each other out if someones attacked and do missions and cruise together. I did read about 1 MC though where you need to be a member for 6 months to get promoted, for all we know gta could be dead in 6 months, it's along time for a virtual promotion. I can understand they want loyalty etc but people tend to be loyal when they are rewarded, it makes much more sense to me to promote someone for helping out members in game or defending the crew than simply sitting there for 6 months. The thing with the girlfriend crew seems a little over the top, I mean are these real women or are they guys with female characters? Seems very strange to me. chainsoar
Yeah, I'm not kidding about the 'property of' thing. A quick search on SC shows he's not the only one, too. Anyway, I just wondered about the 1% thing since those guys made such a big issue out of insisting they're not. I don't really care that much, I'm just in it to make believe for fun. If that means some tryhard crew mistakenly believes I care about their drama, so be it.
coelacanth72
Haha the "property of" is hilarious, but if you're gonna role play an outlaw biker, why not? Sounds pretty tongue in cheek to me. Now, why you'd go to the trouble of specifically not being a 1% in GTAO, that's just weird.
SolidSnails
Nobody really plays as bikers im sure an outlaw biker doesnt have a chradder and a rpg but hey as long as there crew is a mc and they dress like a biker who am i to judge
