We are now entering the month of May which means that Rockstar has a little over a month to release Heists in order for it to fall in line with their promise for a Spring release. Spring officially ends June 20th (Per AgentExeider's Tip: Rockstar considers Summer to end on June 1st) which means Rockstar has to release the High Life DLC and Heists by June 1st otherwise the content will be considered delayed.

 

Keep in mind that Heists were originally slated for release on Day 1 of GTA: Online. Shortly before GTA: Online's release Rockstar Stated that heists were delayed and coming soon after GTA: Online's release. Unless you consider around seven months later "soon" you could count Heists as having been delayed twice. Will Heists see a third delay? Vote above and discuss below.

 

Update: Now that it is summer, Heists have been delayed for the third time.

 

Rockstar has been confirmed to be working on a current gen game for release within a one year time frame, is this game GTA V on current gen? If so and if it is announced at E3, we may see a Heists announcement alongside it on Monday at E3. [sPECULATIVE]

 

Additionally, Battlefield which is a FPS War game, managed to get Heists before GTA: Online. winnie_the_pooh_shocked_owl.gif

Who cares about Heists anyway?

 

I stopped caring about those over-hyped longer missions a long time ago.

I know a guy who knew a guy that was the father of a guy that briefly acquainted with the friend of a janitor at Rockstar Games. He said heists are coming out soon.

Why do people keep quoting June 20th, yes, it is the summer solstice, but industry does not follow the absolute solar calender, they base themselves off the Gregorian Calender (a type of solar calender, however operating in mostly equal months to clearly delineate seasons) and business calenders of quarters.

 

The entertainment industry, of which R* is apart considers the start of summer as June 1st. Find any commercial venture who will claiming Spring in the middle of June, don't worry I'll wait.....

I for one don't think they will make it, and to be honest, I don't care if they do, this game itself has been 6 months late as it is, and when R* decides to get off their collective asses and release content, that's when they will do it.

Halo 5 isn't going to be released when Jupiter in the house of Taurus, and Watchdogs isn't coming out because the Moon is full. Stop trying to excuse R* by reaching for the latest date to give them a mulligan.

Also, you'll find in the OP that I am in no way trying to excuse Rockstar which is why I mentioned that they keep on delaying them over and over.

In the

Heists were advertised and this was a trailer advertising what to expect when GTA Online released. Additionally, it was stated in the GTA Online previews from IGN, Gameinformer, etc. that Rockstar was realizing Heists on day one. Edited by SimsDaniel916

Great, now I'm unsure about my previous understanding of Spring.

All this Gregorian vs Solar vs Entertainment Industry vs Hemispherical differences in the seasonal calendars according to R* has really messed with me.

I'm going with the Wtfisageraldian Calendar, and I predict Heists to be released on the Chleptuth during the 5th Stage of Nyalixx -which, of course, is in Spring...somewhere.

I will still play their games and make a purchase if I feel like it is worth it, but I will no longer "support" them unless they change their ways. Then again, I'm only one person so it doesn't matter anyway. But none of that has anything to do with the fact that it has been 7 months and there is still stuff missing from the game that was in the pre release trailer... Edited by SonofLosSantos

Starting to get annoyed with the speculation as to when it'll be released.

 

We can all guess and make theories but the fact is we don't have any clue at all when it'll definitely be released until they inform us via the Newswire.

 

They had no problem delaying the actual game release 6 months, what's not to say that the Spring Update could be delayed and released as a Summer Update or 'Beach Bum 2' DLC update instead?

 

Hope that doesn't happen, but all I know is for now I'm keeping my eye on the Newswire.
