JustRob Posted May 1, 2014 Share Posted May 1, 2014 I have to admit, I am shocked by the amount of alien presence in this game. UFOs can be found in four different places. Michael has seen live aliens, although he was on a bad trip, but an actual alien corpse can be observed frozen in North Yankton. To tell you the truth, I'm stunned. In GTA San Andreas, there was a lot of myth about this, and a lot of hinting towards aliens (Area 51, the guys in Stowaway who call you an "idiotic mammal" when fighting them, green goo, etc), but this game just outright confirms it: There is alien life. So I wonder, will Rockstar expand on this? I mean, it's kinda bizarre. Four UFOs can be observed in the game for no reason at all, they're just randomly there. Do you think there might be more on this in a future singleplayer DLC? Or will it stay at this vague level to prevent similarities to Saint's Row? JeffreyDahmer Posted May 1, 2014 Share Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) i guess we can only pray that they were just easter eggs and R* are not going down the Uncreative generic and very Gimmicky route of aliens i would rather have something based around crime seeing as the game is called Grand Theft Auto and hopefully something unique and Creative like EFLC Again. Don't forget that there were aliens and spacemen in the movie studio lot and a space commander at the Chinese Theater. All done in fun and a nod to the fans. Why not DLC a flight capable FIB spacecraft? It would be fun. Side missions for things like these are entertaining. If it is on their to do list, it's likely the last item on it. That said though before the release of the game I did hear an alien DLC theory that I could live with: Pretty much the whole thing is a parody of 40's/50's style alien invasion movies. Instead of suped up little green men with anto gravity guns and sh*t, you've got a bunch of muppet looking aliens alongside some normal looking human aliens in dodgy looking space outfits (like the original Day the Earth Stood Still). If Rockstar does do an overly out there DLC I really hope it captures a certain style from a certain period of history (like Far Cry: Blood Dragon did), instead of today's generic zombie and alien crap. I really find the four UFOs already ridiculous. The fact that they're immune to weapons and vehicles just add to fun. Just more of coding nonsense. I can't wait till GTA V comes to PC, so as to mod it and get rid of the UFO stuff. For now, these rumours mean nothing and need to be put at rest. Rdr just didn't fit for zombies. It's a damn western! People weren't as populated then.
