Does anyone ever use the cab anymore. Have you ever used it in online just to do it?

They should also let you do pick up jobs. Why not have them in online to make money R* confuses the sh*t outta me sometimes.

I've never used a cab in gta:o and don't intend to. I'll just jack an npc car instead.

Hell yeah i started using cabs recently. Even in public sessions, havent died....yet. I like cabs tho.

Was there a 'speed up' option for cab drivers to hurry up to your destination, like in GTA IV?

There is, in SP. It wouldn't work in Online for obvious reasons.

And this is why cabbies won't pick up white people anymore.

 

I've never thought to do this. I'll have to give it a go next time I'm on. i like to ride the subway train on the rare occasion that I find one. It confuses the heck out of people trying to kill you.

I made the mistake of using a cab one time in free roam. Looking back that wasnt a smart choice

There is a 100% a hurry up option in online. It isnt the teleporting option, it just makes the cabby drive faster and skip red lights.

 

Cabs are great if your not worried about being killed and you need to sh*t, smoke, eat, or turn your stereo up super loud because you realized it was too low to hurt peoples ears that hear it through the mic.

I'm defo going to do this once:

 

1. Call a cab and get in it as a passenger.

2. Look on your map and place a waypoint somewhere where a lot of other players are hanging around.

3. Let the cab driver drive you there.

4. While the cab driver is getting closer to the other players, call Lester and go off the radar.

5. Drive-by time !

I wonder what happens if you send a mugger on someone while he's sitting in the back of a cab...

 

You think the mugger gets in and the back of the cab and the driver panics and starts driving around with the mugger panicking as well?

When i used to steal jets and the respawn point was only in the back. I used to call it in after i died. No sense in calling in your own vehicle when the 2 of the 3 outcomes end up being your vehicle is destoryed or in the impound. And that the mechanic has a cooldown.

I only call cabs to steal them because no cars are spawning...

There's no cool down if you use the select menu to "request personal vehicle". It only works on a car you have out, though. I use it especially when my car gets destroyed to have it instantly delivered from Mors Mutual.

 

I use cabs a lot in single player to travel up to Sandy Shores or Paleto Bay. Either for that or for getting a car quickly when I'm somewhere far from NPCs or their vehicles.

I use it when I'm not in a rush and want to go on my laptop for a while or something. The cab drivers drove a lot faster in GTAIV.

I used the taxi once while I went off to make dinner, I think I survived...

I use the cab while in passive mode....its so slow people think your walking and leave you alone.

If there were a free roam mode that disabled radar blips entirely, it might actually be fun to cruise around in a cab, incognito, while stalking another player you want to assassinate.
