What Do You Like Best?

UnleashTheGame

This will most DEF be a controversial thread to some degree so I ask so it doesn't get shut down that each and everyone of you respect each other and not bash each others opinions and thoughts.

With that said let me ask the question.

When you think of "learning gta" what do you want to learn most?

I guess my question is more in terms of YouTube. Do you go to watch Glitch videos or actual HELP vids on how to say Drift or Play the game better.

I am curious what people really want and I need your help to figure that out.

(This is for my live-stream so i know what to deliver).

Thanks guys.

I have watched some glitch videos (after skipping the 10 minutes of sh*t-step at the beginning and all of the attention whore-ism). but its usually harmless stuff (wear a mask and helmet, etc). im not a big youtube watcher now (i used to use youtube for music).

I'll take a moment to answer this, legitimately:

You know what I would actually LIKE on youtube? A video that shows the customization options for cars.

I don't mean you quickly shoot through making a visual abortion, either, but I want you to take a moment and actually show the different options, piece by piece, for more than the quarter second it takes you to decide you want the biggest, ugliest wing possible.

I don't need to see paint colours, or rims, or the performance bar increases; I only want to see the actual visual mods and SLOWLY so I can visually decide.

Also, no sh*tty techno, no terribad English accents, and no liking for Chop. I don't care for someone's editorializing, I only want to see what I could do to a car if I bought it.

Never watched any glitch videos. I've watched a few where they tell you how to get secret cars such as the rusted tractor and unmarked police cruiser, but that's it.

I'd rather watch a video about something that's hard to find in the game, or how to get gold medals on the missions. Also, shadow has just reminded me, I have watched a few stunt videos too, although I can never find places to do stunts myself.

CrysisAverted

The first time I started playing I wanted to fly jets, I never watched any Jet gameplay videos but I did enjoy some Stunt Plane montage this one time.

I learn by just playing the game. Trial and error.

I don't feel the need to feed the attention to starved YouTubers.

Exactly. Actually, I do watch Behzinga from time to time, but only because his races are funny, and he is genuinely unlucky.

Tonksi, h8mex and gta wise guy make original useful content, but besides from them most stuff can be found around the internet so there's no point to watching YouTube.

Every youtuber asks, no one listens.did I ask to be shown how to break the game to use weapons in my apartment? Did I ask for a sh*tty tutorial on how to "repeat" missions over and over? Did I ask for an RP glitch? No I asked for entertainment. Make me smile, or laugh; make my adrenaline pump just by watching your video. That's all I ask, but all I get is other bullsh*t.

I want you to find the guy who was invisible, had no blip on the radar, was able to slowly approach me in a wrecked totaled car from the back of the private jet hangar at the airport while I stared on thinking 'WTF', and kill me with an explosion from thin air while I was in passive mode with no message saying who killed me. Seriously when I saw that wrecked car moving it nearly made my character (me) crap his (my) pants. Makes me wish I could afford the crap needed to record game footage :(

I learned by playing GTA III when it released 13 years ago. I have no need or desire to check out GTA content on youtube.

I only watch GTA-related YT stuff to see evil, trolling geniuses get funny reactions out of people. However, I would say that actual "help" vids would be more valuable to the community than instructional vids about glitches. Just my opinion, though.

Maybe have a LS Customs Walkthrough of all Respray, rims, and all other mods for all the top selling cars, I was looking for information on this when I was saving up for a carbonizzer, as I wanted to know about it before I purchase the car, and save-up, I know it might not be the most necessary thing to do in the game, as you can argue that you can purchase the car first and then mod it, but, this information is almost not available anywhere and when people are trying to fill up a 10-car garage. The best part of such an information is that you can do a different car each week and you don't really need to mod it fully just hover over all the selections long enough so people can check the price tag and also see how the skin mods look on the vehicles. you can do a sports week, muscle week, super week, suv week, bike week etc, cars found on the road week (also maybe mention how and where the on-road cars spawn).

dude, not everyone has started the online part of the game since it was out in October, not everyone has high ranked friends, or an awesome crew establishment or even the time to farm in the game, and not everyone is used to MMO type of gaming (where you grind a lot), so your thing about did I ask for rp/cash glitch, well you might not have but millions of rank 3s and 4s watching everyong driving super car online, might want a quick fix (I'm not supporting the idea just saying others don't have same frame of mind or resolve as you might), weapon in garage glitch is pretty cool, repeating missions tuts are stupid but telling us which is the highest earning mission after each patch release is quite useful.

Also, cool self-made or creative stunts videos, cool discovery of player created race tracks (like I saw one on ijordan, video, where someone had created a full loop race track that actually worked, and had adders and entity doing a fully loop on a track), or any hidden discoveries you can find for GTAO (I found a video, on how to find gang cars in the south east region where you find semi modified gang cars that sell for above the max rate of 9.5k, one sold for 9.95, a pimped peyote sold for 10.75 and the pimped declasse tornado sold for 12.75k) so yeah, make your vids creative and unique.

Talk normally-yet-informative, don't "uhh..." after words but don't make it sound like you're reading from a text, or at least make it lively if you do. If you play music, at the start, end or even the middle, don't blast it. It annoys headphone users if your voice is lower than the music and we have to turn our volume up. While stating facts, you either show pictures of the article or the in-game location of related stuff or (while some hate it, I love it), show some gameplay. Don't do missions, though, as people do missions different ways. A race or deathmatch would be a good background video while you're talking. A good subject would be tips that actually work and you're showing us the tip step-by-step, those are always fun.

When making a video, think of yourself as a teacher about to teach a class and think of ways to keep the students from falling asleep. :^:
