Snoochie_Boochies
A lot of people will disagree, but to mee the best ambient score in a game has to be ES Oblivion. Even after eight years, I still get chills when the opening music plays at the main menu, and I often find myself just browsing through the inventory or character sheet just listening to the music. And that moment when you're walking through the forest late in the evening and the combat music begins....

Actually, literally every RPG I've ever played has an awesome soundtrack to be honest. I can't think of any RPG that had bad music.

It counts as a video game since it has been converted and is playable on PC and mobile as part of the Pinball Arcade suite. However, I tend to mute the music because in real life the character would not have a MP player with him on his travels... Birdsong and wind are much more better sounds to get me to the proper RPG mood. a20characterusername

Secret of Evermore did a really good job of blending ambient sounds with actual pieces of music. Fun fact: Both soundtracks were composed by the same person, Jeremy Soule. Osho
- Mafia - City of Lost Heaven, easily tops as the all-time favorite. - The vibrant musical score for the areas you visit, the menu screen and the tense moments in the Baldur's Gate series. - Lovely music in the spy thriller, No One Lives Forever - Brilliant compositions by Jesper Kyd, esp. His work in Hitman 2 & Contracts are awesome. - The amazing orchestral soundtrack in Hidden & Dangerous, 1 & 2 hold your attention even to this day. - Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, absolutely fantastic and fits perfectly to the dark world. - F.E.A.R 1, both the in-game sounds and the soundtrack are impressive. - Far Cry, the classic, that outstanding opening theme, esp. the shorter version that pops up in the background of the many cutscenes has simply just stuck in my head. - Batman series, - Max Payne 1's fantastic theme, - The Planescape Torment soundtrack was also brilliant, - The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, - Gothic series ... umm, and the list goes on. Its incomplete, but these are some of those memorable one's that deserve a special mentioning.
Xerukal
Man, there's so many. Jesper Kyd's work on various stuff, Brian Tyler, all the guys that worked on the numerous styles of dynamic tracks for GTA V. I can't keep them all in my head since there's so much talent and work being put into video game OSTs these days. I love it, though. Oh yes! I remember. Witcher 2's soundtrack.
