"Cuz Cash Cards"

We have all seen it, every time someone says just about anything in come the conspiracies about how this is because they want to sell cash cards. Thats fine, I don't really mind, as in the long run that is the goal of any developer to make money. Sometimes I even find it interesting how they twist things to work for them and their cause.

Here is my challenge...as I could not come up with anything myself. Is there any one thing in this game that does NOT contribute in some way to needing GTA dollars and thus promote cash cards?

Hmm. The only thing I can think of it stealing things, like Planes, Helis, Boats, Subs, BMXs. Unless of course you get a wanted level and want to call lester to get rid of the police.

Oh, you can also steal BMXs and they don't have insurance on them and so are free to store. But you need to purchase a garage to store em, so I guess it doesn't quite work out.

- R* removing the cost of going into passive mode

- R* massively reducing the cost of hospital bills

- The low cost of respawning a Pegasus vehicle. Imagine if, when you destroyed a tank, you had to pay insurance?

- The betting limit. Currently, there's a limit of $2500 on any single bet you make before starting a competitive job. If R* really wanted to sell cash cards, they should let players bet their entire bank account.

EVERYTHING leads to cash cards, down to the last $400 to get rid of a two star wanted level

Yes, OP. Regular players who have time to put forth daily. Those, like myself, play the game as intended. I have never glitched or modded anything. I was given $54M when the bounties were popular because the wing of my crashing plane killed a glitcher. Luckily all my cash was reset to the original $500,000 from RockStar.

I do not need a cash cards. I will play on my days off from work and earn more money legitimately by just playing. I race, parachute, mission and free roam my way to riches.

Conspiracy Challenge?

Ok:

I've had this idea of a gigantic dlc pack/update for GTA V and GTA Online. It will include 50 Single Player, more Single Player activities and side missions, and ability to insure vehicles in Single Player. As for Online, it will have a variety of properties purchasable. As well as having multiple properties. There will be new vehicles added to the game as well as vehicles from previous GTA games. Activities from Single Player will also be on Online. If someone is hosting an online lobby they can change weather patterns to do stuff like make it snow and turn off AI enemies and Police. However you cannot earn money or RP during so. It will also make all vehicles customizable. Like police cars, etc. New weapons will be added. North Yankton, Las Venturas, and Vice City will be added. (Not sure about Library City. Might take up too much space.) It will get rid of freezing and exploits, and improve textures in Online. Since textures in Single Player are already looking good. Payouts of RP and Cash will be slightly bumped up. And tanks will pay for insurance. New Radio Songs for SP and MP. Finally, it will bring the stealth mechanic from Single Player; if you switch vehicles away from cops you can hide in the radar.

Too Long Didn't Read: DLC that will satisfy most to all GTA fans and players.

I was thinking of sending an entire several page letter/document to Rockstar and recommend all this. But I'm guessing they won't even bat an eye. Not because cash cards. But because they're a large company and wouldn't bother listening to me unless I have lots of money to pay them and/or I'm not an employee at Rockstar. Therefore my priorities do not meet up with Rockstar.

Heists are delayed to sell more cash cards through overpriced dlc that people want. If you were rockstar and could sell cash cards would you release heists that will give players large sums of money? No. They are releasing all these cars so people blow all thier money on expensive stuff.

Also the same patch cash cards were released there were nerfs in all payouts for races ect even jobs. Sure there is rooftop rumble and coveted to grind but a game shouldn't be a f*cking grind esp for casual gamers

Not true, betting is like a way of transferring money between players... Something rockstar doesn't want because of cash cards. I could glitch millions and lose bets giving it to others, 1million at a time. No, bets are only 2500 at a time... 400 bets to make just 1 million who had time for that? Edited by Christacoma

Well all missions make you money. But didnt they reduce payouts along the way?

They do allow you to repeat them. It might count...can it be twisted?

Um...OK...thanks I guess...even though it says nothing to the subject. I agree with you though...they arent needed. I was just reading some other thread and someone said they did something to sell cash cards...and while it was a very slim connection...the connection could be made. And then I thought, well what ISNT related to cash in game?

Rockstar does not care about Cash Cards at all. They aren't limiting your pleasure and gameplay because they want money. The amount they grossed was f*cking massive (over $100,000,000), so I think the entirety of Rockstar will be able to feed their families for a lifetime if they cash-in and disband the company. Yet they're still a company and still listening to the whining of immature brats who think the world owes them.

IF they introduce "premium" content or subscription-only items/missions/goodies/etc, THEN you may have the right to bitch about Cash Cards and microtransactions. Until then, most people should shut the f*ck up with the complaining and "conspiracies" (unless humour is what you're aiming for).

Apparently the secret bonus challenge is understanding your fairly simple premise - at least based on some of the responses so far...

Someone said making passive mode free...but we've all read stories of people pumping clip after clip into people who were actually in passive, thus wasting ammo, thus....cash cards.

Taking photos is free. Of course the limit of 96 stored snaps means obviously they're planning to sell us larger storage for our ifruits one day. Cash cards.

Aha, but what you dont realise is, that the radio is full of propaganda trying to convince you to buy cash cards, by leaking subliminal messages in the form of their "adverts" that secretly bounce around the ideology that only rich people can enjoy GTA Online.

Ever heard the advert which utters "cash is king" - cash cards

Ever heard the Maze Bank advert? - cash cards

Stop paying your mortgage advert? Ok, but what do I spend my spare money on? - cash cards

---

Congratulations, your post has been officially conspiracyed :)

The Rat-Loader having all free parts after R* messed that whole thing up.

Cash cards are not a problem. I don't understand why people think they are a problem. The game can be played without ever buying anything except ammo. The only people that complain about cash cards are the people that NEED to have the new cars the hour they become available.

Take a bat. Bonk a hooker. Get free money. Hookers, getting 'struck out' in GTA since GTA3.

To be fair, most things in the game cost money. I have had my character since early October (they kept getting deleted before that due to the original cloud problems). Since then, I have been able to buy a top end apartment, full 10 car garage with fully upgraded cars, 16 Pegasus vehicles including the Buzzard, Tank, all the boats, and several planes, all the guns with upgrades and gold skin, all the clothes, all the masks, and I'm sitting on almost 13 million waiting for the new DLC. Never got any cash cards, never glitched, never was given any 'gifted money' from the billionaire days. 100% farming jobs and doing races. So, you can get by quite well without cash cards. Sure, not everybody has the spare time for that, and sure you're going to hear about cashcards from Rockstar. It is a company out to make money, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy everything the game has to offer without ever having to buy one.

Hookers. Try slowing down near one with all your cash in the bank. Boom, cash card advert. No matter that you can profit by taking their money afterward connection to cash cards exists.

The rat loader is tougher but....it's the only car I have with crew tire smoke. Crew smoke is expensive...the rat loader gives me a free taste but if I want more? Cash cards.

Just to be clear, I don't think cash cards are a problem. I'm pretty sure Luap doesn't either. I find it funny/sad how far some people will go to link cash cards to problems in game so I'm having fun with this thread.

You allege that it's a conspiracy but I see it as a business decision by Rockstar executives. They want the game to keep making them money over the course of it's life and they're trying to find a balance between irritating the users too much and finding ways to encourage (subtle or otherwise) players to purchase cash cards. This is why, I believe, there will never be a PC release of GTA5 because they would lose control of that revenue stream.

Collectors Edition gets a free 2-car garage in GTAO, provided you don't already own a property.

The existence of Rooftop Rumble is a direct contradiction to cash cards

But it's actually quicker to earn minimum wage for x hours and buy cash cards for GTA $ than it is to play RR for x hours to earn GTA $.

So not quite.
