The Sentinel line seems underpowered....

Yes, the Sentinel and Sentinel XS are based off of the BMW 3 Series (E90), but they seem so underpowered for a I6 equipped vehicle.

They struggle, even when fully modded, and act like they're lower tier 3 Series models. (318i and 320si)

I wish R* would have kept the same performance of the Sentinel from GTA IV, which was a E46 M3/ M3 CSL.

Agree. It feels like something is making my Ubermacht Sentinel go slow. Like it's pulling a weight. Even with Turbo.

R* got the handling right, with little body roll and precise steering at most speeds, just the engine lags behind, ruining the edge of the Sentinel.

An E92 M3 is a fast car, but it's not quite in the same league as a GTR, one of the faster 911's etc

I'm not wanting or needing M3 GTR performance, but a small bump in acceleration and top end would definitely go a long way to making the Sentinel more competitive both on the track, and the streets.

Fast for a BMW sedan maybe. But I mean what's it do 0-60? Little under 5 seconds?. My own car does 5.5 and when I go to the drag strip I can't hardly see a properly fast car by the time he crosses the line. I don't consider this fast.

Well it's designed to be practical. So it's not really going to be up to speed compared to cars like the Audi R8.

Sentinel sure doesn't seem slow when Sentinel guy plows into you at top speed. I've lost count of how many times I've been sent cartwheeling by that d@#@ed car.

My take on Sentinel guy is he was put in the beta version as a way to 'cost you money'. See, when the game first came out, you would lose a lot of your money that wasn't banked. Now, add to that the fact that Sentinel guy most often appears just after you've finished doing a mission, race, or store robbery. His purpose was to make you more cautious with your money, and bank it more often. Kind of a 'ha ha, you just finished that job? Blam, now you're that much broker'. At least that's the most logical thing I can come up with as to why he is there, so aggressive, and so hellbent on hitting you if you spawn into a lobby.

He shows up in free roam, I've seen multiple ones at once (only seen this happen once), and I've now seen him during missions (but this is much rarer). He most commonly shows up right after a spawn in though. If you do Rooftop Rumble a lot, you'll see him fly around that corner in front of Martin's nearly 100% of the time.
