Is there a way to remove the Extended Clip from a weapon?

Greetings.

 

I would like to remove the extended clips on my pistol, combat pistol and SNS Pistol since I only use the AP Pistol and Heavy Pistol for actual combat.

 

The other ones are for novelty. That and having silencers for Heists. The extended clips ruin their look for me especially on the SNS since it's concept is to be small and concealed.

 

I tried:

 

- Removing the extended clips in ammunation but they later re-appear as soon as I change sessions.

- Throwing both weapons on the floor and re-buying them without applying the extended clips. They later again, appear.

 

 

Is there any way to get rid of the extended clips from my Pistols? They re-attach themselves back all the time.

Those 3 pistols beside the Special Carbine are the only weapons I have with silencers.

 

I would like to use them when Heists come out to take out enemies undetected. I know I can use other weapons with that, I just want to add a slight role-play effect since it's fun sneaking up on armed guards and taking them out like that.

 

So, I just want them to look descent.

I can't confirm it since i've never had that problem since i keep my extended mags but he said it did.

I went to Ammunation, removed clips on all 3 pistols, I had the cloud save icon loading when I exited the gun shop.

 

I then resprayed one of my vehicles, after I exited LSC, the save icon appeared again.

 

I went to single player, came back online.

 

The extended clips are back. It DID NOT WORK.

Sorry that didn't help like i told Semper i haven't confirmed it but a friend said it worked for him, Maybe he just got lucky doing that i don't know.

 

It's always good to have more ammo in your gun especally in the pistols and SMG because when your shooting at someone while in the car your bullets will run out faster.

I don't mind ex-mags on some weapons like the Advanced Rifle, both MGs or the Assault Shotgun. However i can't stand the way the AK looks with the ex-mag on. I put it on the gun by mistake so long ago and it's still there.

I will only be using those pistols against NPC's during missions/heists to which I don't need extended clips. So combat-wise it doesn't matter. It's only for looks.

 

The SNS Pistol looks so wrong with it.

Yea but the SNS pistol needs the extra rounds, so does the AP.

They've claimed to have fixed it atleast twice in official patch notes. They're aware of it, and know it needs to be fixed, it just.. hasn't been.

I seriously want to take off the extended clip on the O.G. pistol, the same one the homie Lamar throws you at the beginning and sh*t. I'm tired of taking it off every time I visit ammu-nation, sh*ts uglier than a shaved panda bear.

 

I like using that in gang attacks or wars or whatever the fuxk it is.

 

Anyways, hopefully it's fixed by the time I get back to playing this because I'm awaiting the "Grounded" DLC for Last of Us multiplayer..... Which is gonna be real swell as fuxk.

It doesn't work. You later re-buy the pistols without any modifications but they automatically re-appear later.

Don't re-buy. The default pistol will still come back, but I drop mine each session.

It's an issue with the Social Club/Weapons Stats. Once you buy the extended magazine, Social Club will ALWAYS apply the magazine again, since it never forgets it was removed.

 

I'm not 100% sure this will work, but try unlinking your Social Club.

For f*cks sake Rockstar, fix this already! It doesn't look right on the SNS or Desert Eagle! Not to mention, ammo costs more when you buy it for a weapon with an extended clip!
