Can't get into PV during Rooftop Rumble?

Like always, I searched the forums before posting this, and couldnt find a thread on this.

 

Every single time I get into Rooftop Rumble, I can never get into my PV. I literally had my guy running after a truck that was 2 blocks away instead of getting into my Entity XF that was right next to me...I've tried hosting it myself, changing my vehicle access while in the mission, and even trying to pull a friend out of my car(yes, other people CAN get inside). I was just wondering if there is a fix, because it's really annoying trying to speed to the finish point in one of the crappy NPC cars that spawn inside the parking lot, especially when their tires get popped...

this happens to me as well. try either putting away your gun and getting in the car, or shooting a few rounds of your gun randomly then getting in the car, or push the button to get in the car repeatedly while next to the car until the door opens.

Normally I have to press Y a few times, it's never one press as it is outside the mission or on different cars. It used to do it to me during Out OfCourt Settlement. f*ckin Madrazo!

i think it has something to do with the newest update, after the lasted update i'll press triangle to get into my car and nothing happens, i'll finally get into my car after pressing triangle 2-3 times. i know it's not my controller because my controller works perfectly fine

Happens to me when using my Buzzard. And not just to me, but to others playing with me as well. I find if you hold the button down it has a better chance of working the first time.

I find that tapping triangle repeatedly (ps3) is the only option to prevent the issue.

Yeah, I just tested it, and your right....Apparently, if you pick up the documents, you won't be able to get into your PV anymore. I tried tapping triangle multiple times, getting into another car and back out...no luck. Seems like the documents are glitching out the game...

I think it has to do with the spawn time of the bad guys who give chase. Also try knocking the door off. It won't happen. For some reason they made your PV door unbreakable .

There is a simple solution. Stop playing Rooftop bleedin' Rumble. That'll clear the problem right up.

I've encountered this as well, but just spamming Y works for me. I also use my Entity for RR and I almost always play it solo. In my case it has happened when the mission first loads up and then again when I try to get in my car after picking up the documents. However I've never been completely unable to enter the car, it just takes a few button presses before the door opens.

Yeah, I just tested it, and your right....Apparently, if you pick up the documents, you won't be able to get into your PV anymore. Not ideal with a black Granger approaching fast....

Even though the mission is easy, they try making it difficult. Traffic ram you and you're unable to enter your (or friends) PV until enemies spawn if you have the document. It's the only mission it happens on that I've noticed.

Seriously though, I play it 2 or 3 times a day at most. And only recently. Didn't farm coveted either. But its quick money and rp so....yeah. Then i go play other fun stuff.

 

I understand why people get annoyed by farmers/grinders causing most lobbies to be for a single mission/map but what can you do? Nerfing it just pushes the problem to a different job unless the game is perfectly balanced...

It's pretty annoying though, you always seem to get in right when the guys are coming in the car to attack you. Or you're in range of their perfect aim.

Rooftop Rumble has killed the game for me. If it wasn't for the promise of DLC coming soon, I'd have given up long ago.

My friend and I tried doing RR in my Phoenix and failed. Since my PV was the only car we had, we restarted the mission only to find our dead bodies occupying the car and unwilling to be let out. We ended up snagging a Mule and ultimately succeeding that time around.

Double tap Triangle or Y button, eventually your character will find the correct vehicle, has been happening to me since February.

this. the guy holding the documents is not allowed to enter a car/buzzard until the black suv is in shooting range.

ive also seen that dead body car bug. when a player gets killed while driving the body will sit in the drivers seat and block the usage of that pv.
