  1. 1. Which is faster fully modded? The RH8 or the Carbonizzaire?

The Elegy RH8 is by far the best car in the sports class. Overall, it is the second best car in the game. The Elegy WILL post faster lap times on race tracks unless it's a very long straight track or a track with minimal turns. Anyone who thinks that the Carbonizarre is anywhere near the Elegy in terms of overall performance (especially handling/traction) has either never given the Elegy a serious try or is retarded.

The Carbonizzare is absolutely terrible around the track. It loses traction well before most of the other sports cars. The Elegy is by far the fastest sports car around the track because it's traction is much better. You keep much more speed throughout the corners and it's also a much easier car to learn to drive well. The Elegy's traction stat puts it at super car level performance. While the Carbonizzare's traction causes it to be a mediocre sports car during races. You can definitely go wrong with the Carbonizzare if you're trying to use it to win more online races. If you just want something to drive around in free roam, then you can't go wrong with it.

I own both and have spent a large amount of time figuring out what exactly causes these cars to out perform each other during races. And it's all about traction. It's about being able to take corners faster and being able to control them in and out of those corners better and more consistently than the other car.

For racing, Elegy is king. It is super customizable too. For cruising/free roam, Carbonizzare is just as good or better. It is a convertible as well.

In any case, as someone else mentioned, apart from belonging to same class, they're very different cars. If I had to pick one, I'd choose the Elegy (as indeed I've done), but it's your call.

I've won more sports races in my carb than in any of my other sports cars. I like the elegy a lot, I'm personally a better racer with the carb though.

Whether you win a lot of races with the Carbonizarre or not doesn't determine how good the car is. Sure it works personally for YOU, and that's great, but the Elegy is so much better than any other car in the sports class. Winnings races doesn't mean anything. 99% of the time people in random races are complete idiots that don't have the slightlest clue how to drive. You could beat most people with a Sultan if you're a half-decent driver. The fact is, the Elegy RH8 is overpowered for the sports class and not many people realise how much of a difference superior traction actually makes.

I've won more sports car races in my Carbonizzare also. That's because most of the people I've raced against don't know how to race and I find racing in the Elegy against those kinds of players puts up zero challenge and is a boring guaranteed win.

There is no mastering the handling of the Carbonizzare to exceed the capabilities of the Elegy. The programming of traction in this game forces a limit on the Carbonizzare that causes the Elegy to be the better racing car. And I say that without bias, as a skilled driver in both of the cars.

Definitely gotta be the Elegy. Best handling out of any sports car.

If you posted best looking and that pic in the same post I would have died.

That's still one of his better looking cars.

Yeah, that thing actually looks surprisingly normal

Ya...kinda what I said with my first post. I race randoms so it's not like im racing hard core racing crews or anything. In my experience, the carb is a competitive racer.

I love the Elegy, but I gotta admit that the Carbonizzaire looks and sounds better.

screwloose88

elegy is slightly better for racing. I think its the best sports car for racing.

but if I upgraded 1 of them to use all the time, without a doubt it would be the carbonizzaire. it looks so much better, I prefer the handling in free roam of it and ofcourse it looks a lot better.

Fixed.

I completely agree with your post otherwise.

The Carbo sounds fantastic as well.

Here's my sexy beast, the antidote to the Elegy above.

I think most people here are using the wrong terminology - The Elegy is best for racing if you can master it due to its great TRACTION, the Carbonizzare is for me the best HANDLING car in the game, you can get it to dance around and point any direction instantly, sadly that lack of traction costs it in races. I have both but don't enjoy driving the Elegy even in races, it's all grip then snap oversteer into a spin, I prefer the control of the Carbonizzare for my style, I can get faster times with the Elegy but I find it unpredictable with all the randomness that can occur in races.

I've been using the Elegy since the beginning of gta online and have always loved it. Everyone I know that had a fully modded Carbonizzare said it sucked and was uncontrollable and today it occurred to me these people all drive Adders most of the time, long story a little shorter... I bought a Carbonizzare today and it's a beast, it shakes it's ass more than a cracked out stripper, it's amazing
