Question about cars

Okay so I was just wondering say for example you've just bought a turbo upgrade on your car and the acceleration is max, would upgrading the engine and transmission etc affect it's performance even if the acceleration is maxed out?

 

Only asking this as did a car meet yesterday and a few drag races i got beat by some cars which i would have thought wouldn't of stood a chance.

Rule 1 about racing: NEVER EVER believe the stat bars. They're terribly inconsistent and rarely reflect on the true performance of a car.
and no, if the fail stat bar says acceleration is 'full', upgrading the car will still make it faster.

Yes. It does make a difference. If you have the money, go for it.

-Armor decreases vehicle's top speed by 5%. Brian B. has confirmed this, and if you use iFruit app, you'll see the decrease upon applying armor.

-The only 'wheels' that improve handling are off-road ones, for off-road terrains. I wasn't aware that rims themselves do. Is this confirmed, or are you going by the feel of the car?

Elegy, and really any decently fast car, can be faster than an Adder, depending on the 'path' as well as driver skill.
