Apartments : Missed Opportunity

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a selection shops around the city (Sports, Electrical, Pets etc) and at these shops you could unlock and then buy items that would appear and decorate your apartments, it seems kind of lazy and pointless having so many interiors look exactly the same in the game. The same wine bottle, the same bong etc.....

For example you could buy better looking TV/Stereo system, Home gym gear, fish tanks or snake enclosures, wall art/paintings/posters etc. Most of these items like the pets would be purely cosmetic and non interactive, but some items like say, a treadmill or weights (as in GTA San Andreas) can rank up your stamina, or an arcade car game that you can play (again similar to the basic arcade games or even better) that are fun and rank up driving skill. Maybe a pool table or a poker table that you can play with friends or something. Also you could get more to your liking posters/art etc, or even have your favourite Snapmatic pics be framed on the wall.

They could of added hunting online, so if you kill mountain leopard you unlock a leopard skin floor carpet, or a mounted head, I just see the apartments as a huge wasted potential for showing off achievements and having fun with friends, like who the f*ck wants to go and see a movie in the game, or play a repetitive round of arm wrestling more than once? !

 

What would you guys like to see and what do you think of my thoughts?

It would give a purpose to see other people's apartments.

 

I've also got no idea why R* promotes crews so much, yet didn't consider making crew hangout areas a bit more varied than just run of the mill apartments.

I think it's a really good idea. Don't forget GTA online is still BETA so features like this could be available in future releases of GTA online. The game has so much potential, especially with the new generation of consoles. The community need to submit their ideas and I'm sure rockstar have tonnes of ideas for future content releases.

I agree. I've always been surprised that there weren't apartment-related stores. Different furniture, bigger tv/tv that pops out of slot. pool table, etc.

but like random things to personalize your apartment so its unique to you would be cool instead of everyone having the same exact apartment with the 10 car garage or maybe some posters on the wall in the garage would be cool too

Ha ha, you fell for it, games like this are ALWAYS in beta, that way it can be glitchy, crash, lost game/player info, etc. and IT'S ALL OK because it's beta...in 6 years, if this game even still exists in one form or another, it will STILL be in beta, I guarantee it

Really great idea we should all send this to rockstar. But with the stores... Wouldn't that mean even MORE loading times for all the stuff to load up? Not too familiar with this but I'm sure someone can explain wheather this would impact loading times. Also, why aren't animals in GTAO? Because some people are scared we might kill animals in real life? I mean killing people is just as bad as killing animals, no? Edited by BananaButt

Screw the apartments, you still get stuck in a loop trying to open your car when you go in your garage with other players. That bugs been there so long, so obvious and rockstar don't seem to ever notice..

All I want is a game table in my apartment....that's the only way I'm inviting people in is if I can make them leave broke.

 

Pool and poker would suffice. I have no other reason to invite others to my apartment to watch them perform the jerk motion while following me around. I wouldnt even waste any money on decorating the place....that's simply wasteful.

I think he meant in-game stores like the Ammu-nations or LSCs.

God pets and lamps and relationships with other characters is actually what people want on this forum. You guys really want to get online and go lamp shopping, then feed your dog, then call your fake girlfriend online. O you also want to fake workout and go to eat at a fake resteraunt after. Lets not forget those exciting features people want. You basically want to live a normal life with your character instead of actually doing it in your own life
