I just went to the website to look at my stats and this was there top message

 

The site will stop updating on May 1st, 2014.

While the amount of users it tracks has grown, the community has not. We’ve asked for feedback countless times and received maybe 3 or 4 emails/posts.

At the moment, we are using a “trial” service that allows for us to do our daily scan in about an hour’s time. That trial will be over in the next couple of days and will cost money, which we’ve put enough of ourselves into the site. The daily scans will then take about 4 hours minimum and get longer as we track more players.

We know we have a couple of hardcore fans out there (maybe a few, lol) and we definitely don’t want to disappoint anyone. This decision was not easy to come to, we can assure you that.

The site will remain accessible as it is for however long, just with no updated player scans or features.

Part of the decision was based off of the actual data that the Social Club serves up. Not being able to access all of the characters on an account every day is mildly frustrating. Then of course there is the accuracy of the data served up and we don’t even think Rockstar cares one way or the other about it. We’ve sent in numerous emails only to get an automated generic response or nothing at all.

We could go on and on with the reasons, but honestly how many people have read this far.

 

 

Not like im really upset or anything just sucks to see the only website that can accurately track the rank of two profiles on the same account without merging them both together...the other website Gta5stats.com is a complete joke and doesn't even tell you your true rank.

 

Edit: i also forget to mention the uniqueness of this site you can get different sig's that provide you with info about Death matches, races and more that's why im gonna miss it the other site only offers you 1 half as.s sig

Oh that sucks, I remember having a short convo with one of the guys there. Asking questions and giving suggestions.

 

I told him that they're awesome and they're much better than the gta5 stats site.

not that i ever gloated about mine in the first place i just liked how it didn't merge both of my chars into the same rank cuz with how much my bro and sister die when they play this game sort of makes me look like a complete noob.

I want to see a site, or at least have direct access to, the GTA0 population participation statistics. I don't give a f*ck about the stats of individual players, but I would like to see bulk statistical data on the whole population - how many players online, how many player hours per day, how many miles driven on which vehicles, how many bullets fired, how many tanks spawned, etc. However, I am sure that Rockstar would never let the public see those numbers.

gtaonlinestats is way better than the other one. The other site doesn't contain half the stats and you can't see your second character. Maybe the site admin should run annual fundraisers a la Wikipedia. I'd be down for something like that.

Well, this is disconcerting news given how much better it is compared to GTA5stats.

 

Some of the reasoning is pretty bogus. No community? It's a site serving stats, well duh. There's also been a lot more feedback on here not that this is particularly necessary either - lack of feedback could well mean you were doing something right, even!

 

As someone who knows full well the costs of running their own site, I can respect the whole trial/paid angle, but I'm not really sure what it is you are aiming to accomplish here. If the lack of community involvement is one of the reasons for the paradigm shift, then surely you can't perceive this being successful? What selling points, as a paid service, are you going to have that makes people want to pay to use it instead of just social club?

 

In any event, best of luck Toobsock.. I know you're out there..

You need to update your stats. It says you are in the update que.
