I haven't purchased a Madden game since 2012 but I think i will get this one because I plan on getting a next Gen Console this summer anyways and I think I might as well add this to my library. Even though I prefer NCAA football games anyways. I would personally choose Russell Wilson for the cover. Now I have something else to say.... We need more competition in the NFL licensed video game market. The most popular sport in North America and one of the most valuable professional sports leagues in the world should have more than one video game representing it. Does anyone else remember the NFL 2K days? The good old days before EA snatched up the NFL license we were given This Gem I would love to see something like that return someday. Most people agree that 2k5 was the pinnacle of football video gaming especially in those days. I had both 2K and Madden 05 back in those days and Madden just sat on a shelf and collected dust the second I started playing 2K5. I don't really think I need to explain everything that made it better just ask any gamer who was a football fan back in those days and they could tell you. With all the success of the NBA 2K franchise and their career modes it would be amazing to see an NFL game with the depth and execution that the NBA games have. In 2k5 you had a penthouse you could customize with all kinds of cool stuff. I don't see why in be a pro mode we couldn't have a Mansion in a variety of locales with a bunch of different options for customization. I would pay $100 for that. Kind of like how they, 2k Sports, stopped producing NHL and MLB games. Nobody else produces those series, so no games. I might buy it instead this year, usually I gamefly it for awhile. There is no MLB game on non Sony consoles so that is actually leading me towards getting a PS3 instead of an XB1. And I really hope that 2K has a football game ready for deployment as soon as the Madden exclusivity deal runs out. It would sell like hot cakes. I have pretty much always preferred NCAA games to NFL games because I prefer the college atmosphere and season structure. Dynasty mode with a College team was always more exciting than Franchise mode in and NFL game. RBI Baseball looks meh. I think I will just get a PS4 and The Show 14. Do something different, or god forbid make the game better. It's a shame I'd still prefer 2k5 over any football game. I can't believe Madden still hasn't used the in-helmet view 2k5 implemented. Plus, the My Crib and My Team was hella fun. The only thing I didn't like about My Crib was when Celebrities would call you. It was actually really annoying and unnecessary in my opinion. And Franchise mode in 2K5 was also great as well from what I could remember. It just drives me crazy wondering what An NFL game made by 2K Sports would look like today. I mean, Look at how good their franchise modes and My Player modes are for NBA 2K. Just Imagine that in an NFL setting. Too bad it never translated well to baseball though. EA really needs to go back to the drawing board on it. M25 made improvements in the right direction but I feel that it is just not there yet. There is no game scheduled this season between my owner mode team and player mode team so I will just have to wait until it occurs. Maybe we will meet in the playoffs. I would also like to be able to go into the playbook creator and be able to make my own plays again. THAT was fun. Also a better soundtrack, or the option for custom soundtrack, because the Madden soundtracks reeeeally suck. I liked stadium sounds in NCAA games, bring that on too. All I got for now. Its going to be the same as Madden 25 with a roster update and a few more things added. If 2K made football games that either have too adapt or die. I base things off the companies history. Madden is well known as a $60 Roster update with few improvements. All you got to do is look at past games. Madden 13 - Madden 25: Not as big changes, but not just a roster update at all. Madden 25 - Madden 15: No info aside from the fact that the best NCAA developers are now on the Madden team. Not only do past games go against your point, but there's also new factors to taken into account, which makes it even harder to determine. I just have wild thoughts in my head of the greatness of 2K5 and how awesome the depth of the GM mode from NBA 2K14 would be in an NFL setting. But there is also the chance that it doesn't turn out like NBA 2K and turns out like MLB 2K. Which was AA compared to the Show.
