update the radio

Recommended Posts

Vice City and San Andreas has songs that I still play to this day. Also, the DJ's are way more memorable than the ones we got right now.

Vice City had Michael Jackson and San Andreas had some Ice Cube. ICE CUBE! You can't be cooler than an Ice Cube.

Then you don't understand Los Santos Rock Radio and the BEST GTA DJ of all time, Kenny Loggins...

...and Ice Cube is a sellout, from hardcore gangsta thug to Disney comedy movie sellout

]technology has come far enough that this idea isn't impossible.

Maybe, but the costs to incorporate a song into a game have increased...especially in a "dirty killing" game like Grand Theft Auto

I agree. The radio is really well done, but if they don't want to hire the DJs and script writers on a full-time basis to keep things fresh, they need to offer something else, like maybe pair the radio with tunein so the radio wheel has your choice of real radio stations.

I still love that doctor dude that goes on and on about coconut water and ohming. He is sooooo full of sh*t, I still laugh even though I have heard it a million times.

Please stop asking to play stored music from your consoles. This isn't going to happen, because of licensing fees.

No there are no licensing fees. You buy your music you rip the cds to a flash or hard drive. Now if that music played for other people then yeah

In GTA Online the music is played for other people. When someone enters the car they can hear the same music as you and when you leave the car people around it can hear the music.

Ok but if they added custom tracks perhaps when the radio was on custom the passenger would hear nothing. It wouldn't stream thru the game

QuackinAColdOne

I doubt they would do this because they need a license to play every song they do. Meaning it would be impossible to play an on-going radio like Pandora or iHeart Radio because of the limitations set by Grand Theft Auto and people wanting their music in a game like this.

If that's way that you want it why just launch up Spotify on your computer or cell phone.

Crunch McThornbody

How hard could it be to update the music , DJs, and talk shows?

How hard would it be to shell out $15-$30 for it?

Nobody works for free.

R* have missed one helluva trick here, they could've given us our own radio station where you can add tracks from a vast database, with a small fee for the tracks, with so many users playing and wanting their own choice of music R* could rake it in even more.
