so I go onto my ranks 1K account and I noticed that I am now only rank 98. i don't care what people think about me cheating i have to account one legit and one that was not i didn't do any glitches on my main account.

Has any one else had there ranks removed?

I thought I read on here that all the 1000s were wiped a while ago, which is why 999 is the new script kiddie level of choice?

 

Not seen a 1000 in quite a while anyway.

Level 1000 is either you ultimately never have a life and other activities in life or simply glitch/hacking. Either way, maybe in Rockstar's point of view, nobody should have reached Rank 1000 within 7 months, so they think you're cheating and so you're being cut. Be thankful you're not downgraded to 1.

Banning him for glitching a rank is a bit extreme. Who even gives a sh*t about rank? Glitching money on the other hand, I can see how that's a problem for new content.

Call me petty and vindictive, but I'd laugh if all the 'rank 999' crowd turned on GTAO one day, only to find their characters wiped (like during the early cloud server save woes).

Official line from R* support: "Unfortunately, aberrations with your character's rank data prevented it from being uploaded and saved to the cloud servers correctly. Please accept our aplogies."

Exploits and glitches help to release new content faster, because rockstar will patch them and work on the new content.

Joined a week, has no proof, uneducated (just read his comment)....... troll.

 

Also, R* will never reset RP ranks because it does not affect shark cards.....

You can be 500 legit. As time passes you need to adjust your understanding of what is possible. I am not saying that guy was...but I know several.

I hope this is true, OP. I really hope. Because I'm tired of seeing rank 1000 everywhere, and whatnot. If someone else can confirm this, it's much appreciated.

Just hope they don't screw with legits.

really?? did you wake up with a brain this morning?

 

people glitching / exploiting will use dev's time up to patch it. thus delaying their time on finishing new content etc.

 

You think the PS3 patches these glitchers? You think maybe the tooth fairy does it?

Over the past few day's I've seen a few people at rank 1. A lot of them have their stats maxed out, such as, shooting and driving etcetera, so it's obvious they weren't new to the game. So I assume they have been de-ranked for RP glitching.

The problem with all these hacked RP Levels is that RP isn't the only thing they hack/mod. They also hack a butt-load of $$$$$. Just check some of these guy's profiles, and you'll see everything in the hardware access filled, yet most of their skill stats are barely half-filled.
