Underwater Mysteries Discovered

I'll see if I can try and get a map of all underwater locations up, once it's done i'll update my initial post.

Also, has anyone found anything in the smaller lakes and rivers? Like the Vinewood lake near Franklin's home, the dam and a few small ones up at Mt Gordo?

Yeah, around FZ the water is a coppery brownish red colour and it becomes impossible to see, i ended up scraping T's submarine along what i presumed was a rock face for about 5 minutes before the water became blue again, it was so unnerving.

I'm doing pretty okay with the collecting of the sub parts, had a mad race with a shark, (when you see that red dot appear, doesn't your heart quicken?) to see who could win, me to my dinghy or him to his lunch, (i won, but i feel if i had been a little slower it'd be a different story). I came across that tug boat somebody posted a picture of, the underwater wreckages are so much weirder seeing them on your own tv than simply in a picture. Why are there so many though? Sure, planes and boats crash and sink all the time, but i feel like i'm swimming through the bermuda triangle.

I also found something that looked like a large submersible, only rusty?

The groaning being a sea monster would just be the icing on an already creepy cake. Plus, there are those sea monster/very large fish bones in the ocean........

That sounds weird (and nasty). Yep, it does. I had to get one of the letter scraps out on a small island and I didn't have a boat, so I just said "screw it" and swam for it. Sure enough, I got out a little ways and a red dot appeared. I quickly switched to a different character, then switched back and the dot was gone. I swam a bit more, then another dot appeared, so I switched to someone else again, switched back, the dot had disappeared, swam some more, another dot showed up, and so on and so forth, lol. I did eventually make it to the island without being ripped to shreds, and then on the island there was a much safer (and faster) bit of water I could swim through to get back. Got away from the island with no problems/interruptions this time.

I guess all the wreckage you see in the ocean and elsewhere is there to make the water more interesting.

Makes you wonder what happened to that sub, lol.

Pretty sure nobody found any sea monsters in the game files, so no worries. The creepy noises heard underwater are just ambient sounds (...most likely).

I once did the glitch where you can walk underwater, and I went the greatest depth that you can go. It got extremely dark, and I saw this light and I was like WTF? I walk closer to discover it and it is some sort of giant concrete block in the middle of the ocean. It was super weird.

The guys at the mystery hunt theread found some huge checkerboard eye block in Paleto Bay. Mabye you found it too but you were on the wrong side of it so you couldn't see the eye.

I'm sure that's the site where the weapon sits that you steal in the offshore option of the Merryweather heist.

Found a 4th whale/sea creature skeleton today with some friends. Might've been found before, but if you go to the tip of the runway at Fort Zancudo and swim about a bit you should encounter half of a cargo plane. The other half is way, way, way down in the deep ocean. Its very dark down there, anyway keep swimming past the nose of the plane and you should come to an even deeper downhill ledge, there should lie a huge pile of bones. I did this with the underwater glitch that appeared out of nowhere while playing online. Warning. If you're creeped out by the ocean or have thalassaphobia dont go down there, its really, really deep and very dark.

Oh and heres some proof:

I've been under the map, looking 'in' the secret hatch with the light. Sadly it wasn't very spectacular, no room, nothing.

How do you go under the map without the water? The water goes down infintley from it's source from what i know. Invincibility would instantly deactivate too. I call bull

Yeah, but there is still water in the way when i go under the map. It's not possible to survive that unless you put on superswim, had a great sense of direction and had save edited invincibility because the cheat deactivates when you get too close.

I just found my fourth whale/sea monster skeleton, if you go outwards from the tip of the runway at Fort Zancudo you'll come across a sunken cargo plane. Most of the plane is wresting on a ridge, the front half (cockpit) is really deep down, if you go down there you'll find the cockpit (warning it's really really dark). I f you were to swim further forwards from there you'll come across a large underwater sea mountain with some sort of dip/valley, inside there you'll find a very well hidden skeleton.

Pics? I hate underwater and don't like exploring it myself

Don't understand why people are so scared of the underwater. There are no jump scares, unless you have a legit fear of some sort. But hey, time to face them in virtual reality, no?

For me it's far too dark and creepy, there isn't any sort of movement, so you're tense, waiting for some (not counting the shark) and it gives an odd feeling of helplessness in a game that doesn't have all that much.

It's not about something happening, it's about what COULD happen.

I'm not generally afraid of anything in games, nor in real life to be fair. But I was playing a couple of nights back and I took a Speeder all the way south until I couldn't see LS anymore. Stood up on the backboard for a while, just looking at the sky, then dove into the water.

There was nothing there. Just sea. Possibly sand a few hundred metres down. Just... nothingness.

I stayed in for a few seconds, then jumped out and got back on my boat. I knew nothing was coming for me, nothing was there, but I still got that nagging feeling of 'nope, f*ck this.'

THAT, right there, is immersion. That's the power of a video game.

DeltaShadowZ

It's called Thalassophobia, search it up.

Anyway someone asked for the pic, aahhaha I actually took one, I normally never have the balls to go that deep but that day I just could, also I did it with the underwater glitch, it came out of nowhere.

It may be a bit dark to see the pic so i'll put a link aswell.

The tapping on the underwater hatch translates to "You never call, how d'you fancy going bowling?"... 'You never call'..
Maybe that is Niko in the hatch wondering why Roman doesn't call him anymore. After all, Roman was the one who used to do the calling.

The wanted posters are up for Niko, maybe because he is 'lost'. The hatch he is in is like the hatch off the TV show 'Lost'.

Who in GTA V would own that hatch? The IAA or The FIB or the military or Merrywheather, no one else would..
Which brings to mind Niko's FIB girl friend, she may of been the one who put him there. She is the only person that we know in GTA V that knows Niko and would potentially have the power/authority to be able to access/utilize such a thing.

I know that the tapping message is R* joke about an annoying part about one of their games but it could have a double meaning

Just a thought, so don't hate.

I have just found another whale skeleton! This is the 6th one!! There might be something to all of the whale skeletons, maybe when you find them all you unlock something...?

Anyway this whale skeleton is near the one at the lighthouse at Mt. Gordo, just instead of going up the map go down, its near one of the islands, just before a massive drop into the deep abyss..

If any of you want to submit pictures. Theres a good FB page that lets you submit them, all you gotta do is send them your picture with your gamertag, psn name or real name and they'll upload it!

I feel bad because I go to my friends house and he doesn't know about any of the hidden rewards in this game. So he asks me to show him some of it when it's my turn and I rarely find what I'm looking for and i spend an hour hogging the Controller doing nothing dangerous that would end my turn lol. The ocean to hard to find where you are and where objects can be. Depth is difficult to gauge when diving.

This question is going to kill some of you, but quick answer would be cool:

How high do I have to fly to see the UFOs? And all of them are there before 100% right? Besides the chilliad one. You don't have to go as high as you can do you? Because I try that and fly over the hippy camp and can't find it. Thanks. And sorry.

No sadly not. You need 100% for the UFO's. You just need to fly to the hight limit to find them.

That's a sick theory. It's crazy how someone decoded that in the first place. I recently started the game over and forgot that Lester mentions Niko early but saying he "went out quiet." You're theory holds weight because Niko was involved with FIB heavy in GTA IV. Niko being an immigrant and having really nobody to help him, it's very possible that the FIB would do that to him because it would be easy to get away with it.

I wanna see more Packie

If I'm flying at max height, they would be underneath me correct? So flying with the view facing the ground would be the best way to look? Is it something that is easy to miss? Because I feel stupid looking for this thing
