Searching for races

Hello all,

 

I have got back into racing, and quickly remembered how awful it is to find a decent session. Is there a way to customize your search for races. What I mean is, can I find a race session that has the ridiculous catchup system turned off.

 

With the update on its way, apparently its possible to choose between lobbies with collisions on and a lobby where your cars ghost through others.

I don't think we can choose between these lobbys, like

Jobs->Quick Job->Join Race

Jobs->Quick Job->Join Race (no colission)

 

Sadly.

It will be an option I guess, like slipstream on/off,

and you have to hope that the host of the session sets it to 'Ghost Cars On' :\

Ghost car racing isn't racing. It's training wheels time trials for complainers and people who can't be bothered to deal with sh*t they don't like.

I will be hoping that Ghost Cars in never on.

Well thats unfortunate. Once the ghosting is introduced I imagine people are going to be dropping out of races like crazy.

 

I dont mind the idea of the ghost car tbh. You say its training wheels time trials, but unfortunately there is almost a gaurantee in regular racing that some a hole is going to smash you up on purpose because....well they can.

 

Id say a seperate rank system for racing would be ideal so you dont get matched with idiots thus making the ghost option not needed.

Your customization option is who you choose to race with.

 

Randoms = Slipstream, Catchup, Ghost on.

Racing crew = No crutches needed.

I hear ya, may be time for a new crew since most of mine are just about done with this game. Even when they were around, I preferred racing with randoms because crew races always turned into "hey let me win you have won more , etc". Guess its bumper cars and not being able to reach max speed thanks to catchup.
