Very cool stuff and @coach_wargo. I really like the shapes and the play on positive/negative space, especially in that last one! Thanks for sharing! :)

I was out looking for things the other night, and I thought that I want to find stuff I'd see in an art gallery. I took a few, but they kinda suck. So, this was one of the one's I thought was a bit funny and relevant. lol!

@Nacho Z, while I agree they aren't especially "abstract," they are both beautiful images and extremely theatrical. In my history, I have built sets for small productions, and the lighting is, obviously, vital to drawing attention upon the lead character and repressing secondary components. IMHO, this is exactly what these images do. They are a stage set for some kind of wonderful ensemble or soliloquy to present itself upon. I really like these. Thank you for sharing!

Meanwhile, @dead goon's images seem almost narrative and, in order, tell a strange story. The harsh angles and coldness of the first four seep into the organic persona of the final image... that reddish horn-like element coming up from the bottom, a slight highlight on it, lending to it standing before the backdrop of green. Really nice!

Cheers and thanks again, for sharing! :)

Edit: f*ck it. Opera won't let me post images on tablet. I did [ IMG ] [ /IMG ] with no spaces and everything. I'll try again with chrome when I have a years extra time.

Gotta love the Vice City-styled neon, baby!

Throwing a little twist into the abstract genre, with a very literal lifestyle element. JAM!!

Great shot. Neon is a dying thing because of L.E.D.'s. Amazing detail for something nobody will look at.

I work in the sign business. :)

Thank you, @dead goon. I work in the graphics field and everything has changed. Vehicle graphics, for example, used to take weeks to produce and it was a painstaking, specialized service. Now, you send someone a JPG and they can wrap your car up for $2,000 in two days! LOL!! Crazy.

I don't class this as abstract, per se, but this is certainly the most fitting thread for this photo. I just love this. There's something about it that makes it very easy for me to look at it.

Abstract tells a story? Ok, I think I have one. It's a car though.

.

This is my favourite so far. An homage to Carl Sagan, no doubt.

I was thinking Seurat.

Cuz, you know, as a painter, Seurat... knew a lot... about dots. :)

never could see the "point" he was trying make with his work.

I feel that way about the work of Paul Signac. :) (insert 'ba-dum-bum!' here)

I like how they contrast and complement each other at the same time, the lower photo is especially pleased to the eye.
