Songs YOU would want in a radio station DLC or in next-gen/PC

Cypress Hill, NWA, and Body Count would all be welcome additions to WCC.

I also would like some more hard electronic.....(looks at sig)

You should really listen to their earlier incarnation, Pendulum.

Of course I listen to Pendulum. How do you think I happened upon Knife Party in the first place? I love me some Pend, but after such a hiatus I grew to liking KP more and more. They're my favorite artist at the moment, and I'd really be happy if even one of their songs were to be put into GTA. Pendulum too. Did you hear there might be a new album by them this year?

No I didn't. I've been digging their D&B more than their current electronica. To me, a radio station with Blood Sugar would be ideal :)

Thinking of songs relative to the story?

Not relative, but one for the metal station if we get one?

If they add more songs into Los Santos Radio it would be:

  1. Stealers Wheel - Stuck In The Middle With You
  2. Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth
  3. Steve Miller Band - Take The Money And Run
  4. Blue Oyster Cult - (Don't Fear) The Reaper
  5. The Band - The Weight
  6. The Marshall Tucker Band - Can't You See
  7. Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
  8. Robbie Dupree - Steal Away
  9. The Doors - Break On Through
  10. Free - All Right Now
  11. The Alan Parson Project - Eye In The Sky
  12. Golden Earring - Radar Love

I highly doubt any of these songs will be in it. Oh well I'm just waiting for what Rockstar is going to do with a future radio playlist on DLC.

On Channel X they should have The Separation of Church and Skate by NOFX, would probably fit in quite well

Atomic Twilight

This may sound dumb but... I wanna see the radio station, Vladivostok, to come back. Sure, it wouldn't fit in GTA V, but it didn't really fit in GTA IV either. (Yeah, I realize Nico is eastern European, spoke Russian, blah blah blah) The music had a mix of Russian rap and pop that was quirky in my opinion.

On another note, I feel they should just make new stations rather than add to preexisting ones. Some stations from previous games, like Vladivostok, would have a nostalgic familiarity while new ones would feel fresh.

Nothing really has to have a Cali feel due to one workaround, satellite radio.

Homemade Dynamite

I would like to see a dubstep station featuring all the big names like Skrillex, Nero, Flux Pavilion etc.

I would also like a modern rock station like Radio Broker, a jazz station, and a fusion station just like the ones in GTA IV.

I don`t know, but I would like an 80s or 90s radio station with all the greatest hits from that time. That music might be 20 or 30 years old, but it`s still great.

My station would be called MAMMUF and it would feature:

- Crown of Talons by Conan

- Oroborus by UFOMammut

- Hooch by Melvins

- Barbarian by Electric Wizard

- Tallahassee by Earth

- Colossus by Lightning Bolt

- Jesus Christ Pose by Soundgarden

- Weed Monkey by Weedeater

- Denizens by Bast

- Doom by Bongripper

I could go on, but this is probably tipping the maximum length of song and station, a lot of these tracks are quite long, and GTA radio doesn't seem to allow full versions of songs, just 3-4 minute edits.

I want real techno and they can check podcasts like Drumcode or the CLR podcasts for proper techno.... I want proper house music and deep house. I want legit trance, legit drum and bass.

Give us sh*t real criminals like to listen to. Hell, give us more outlaw country and some motherf*cking fleetwood mac. lol

Going by that logic nothings ever got to have the feel to it, because radio stations in the real world don't play music that has the feel of there area. But really what's the point in not having some sort of California feel to it if it's just going to ruin the atmosphere they're going for.

Imagine is Double Cleff FM from III has returned in Vice City. It's a great radio station sure, and some people in the Miami area during the 80's would have listened to opera, but imagine what it would have done to Miami Vice/Scarface feel they were going for.

I don't understand your point. How does it affect the atmosphere of the game? If people are playing a sandbox, the atmosphere is determinable by them, because they have a choice of whether or not to listen to certain stations. If someone feels that the classical music of Double Cleff would have made it feel more how they wanted to, surely that enhances the atmosphere?

This will never happen, due to how much of a bitch certain song rights would be to obtain as well as bloated overly large tracklist sizes but oh well. Here goes:

New playlists for existing stations:

Los Santos Rock Radio

The new playlist was assembled with songs much harder than the soft/pop rock of the original playlist although there are still a few softish songs on the playlist. Think of it as K-DST, Liberty Rock Radio, and VROCK mashed into one

  • Steppenwolf - Born to be Wild
  • Iggy Pop - I'm Bored
  • The Doors - Roadhoue Blues
  • The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Crosstown Traffic
  • Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart
  • Guns N' Roses - Nighttrain
  • Alice Cooper - I'm Eighteen
  • The Flamin' Groovies - Whiskey Woman
  • Creedence Clearwater Revival - Run Through The Jungle
  • Fleetwood Mac - The Chain
  • Blue Oyster Cult - Then Came The Last Days Of May
  • Journey - Wheel in the Sky
  • The Clash - Lost in the Supermarket
  • Neil Young - Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)
  • Led Zeppelin - The Immigrant Song
  • The Rolling Stones - Miss You
  • Pixies - Debaser
  • Van Halen - On Fire
  • UFO - Doctor Doctor
  • Queen - Death on Two Legs (Dedicated To...)
  • AC/DC - Sin City
  • Joan Jett - I Hate Myself For Loving You
  • Judas Priest - Freewheel Burning
  • Black Sabbath - War Pigs
  • Lou Reed - The Blue Mask
  • Iron Maiden - Aces High
  • Dio - The Last in Line

Vinewood Boulevard Radio

The musical style isn't too altered from the original VBR. Still a mecca of hipster/quasi-hipster rock bands with like maybe one or two mainstreams tossed in. You've probably heard most of these bands/artists before on other video games. It just has a bigger playlist, bc I liked VBR but with the small playlist it had it got repetitive real fast.

  • Bass Drum of Death - Way Out
  • Tijuana Panthers - Tony's Song
  • Useless Eaters - Hypertension
  • Radiohead - Jigsaw Falling Into Place
  • Nico Vega - Lead to Light
  • FIDLAR - I Just Wanna Die
  • Cloud Nothings - No Future / No Past
  • Potty Mouth - sh*thead
  • The Bronx - Style Over Everything
  • Thee Oh Sees - Drop
  • Dinowalrus - What Now
  • Blood Red Shoes - Speech Coma
  • Muse - Assassin
  • The Young - Metal Flake
  • Nickels & Bones - Need Somebody
  • Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Rival
  • Picture Atlantic - White Knight
  • Gross Relations - Cut the Final Scene
  • Queens of the Stone Age - If I Had Tail
  • Beware of Darkness - Heart Attack
  • Fuzz - What's In My Head?
  • Biting Elbows - Bad Motherf*cker
  • Modest Mouse - Invisible

New/returning-from-previous-games stations:

Vice City FM (would replace Non-Stop Pop FM)

This station's new gimmick is that every song featured appeared in an 80s movie or a movie about the 80s.

  • Tears for Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the World
  • Harold Faltermeyer - Axel F
  • Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone
  • Phil Collins - Sussudio
  • Robert Tepper - No Easy Way Out
  • Bananarama - Cruel Summer
  • Coup de Villes - Big Trouble in Little China
  • Cheap Trick - Mighty Wings
  • The Power Station - We Fight for Love
  • Tina Turner - We Don't Need Another Hero
  • The Smiths - Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want
  • New Order - True Faith
  • a-ha - The Living Daylights
  • Modern English - Melt With You
  • David Bowie - Cat People (Putting Out Fire)
  • Yello - Oh Yeah
  • Starship - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now
  • Huey Lewis and the News - The Power of Love
  • Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever?
  • The Spinners - Spaceballs
  • OMD - If You Leave
  • Stan Bush - Fight to Surive
  • Blondie - Call Me
  • Wang Chung - To Live and Die in LA
  • Dan Hill - It's a Long Road

OK Broadcast (would replace Channel X)

mainly 90s alt rock with some other genres

  • Seaweed - Start With
  • R.E.M. - What's Your Frequency, Kenneth?
  • Oasis - Supersonic
  • Foo Fighters - Everlong
  • Radiohead - Karma Police
  • Elastica - Line Up
  • Matthew Sweet - Sick of Myself
  • School of Fish - Blackout
  • Bad Religion - American Jesus
  • Garbage - Queer
  • The Smashing Pumpkins - Today
  • Suede - Stay Together
  • Alice in Chains - Got Me Wrong
  • Marcy Playground - Opium
  • Modest Mouse - Doin' the Cockroach
  • The Auteurs - New French Girlfriend
  • Semisonic - Secret Smile
  • Third Eye Blind - Semi-charmed Life
  • Weezer - Say It Ain't So
  • Nine Inch Nails - Hurt

NightRide FM (would replace either FlyLo FM or Soulwax FM)

Retrosynth + Synthpop

  • The Judgeman - Press Start
  • Kavinsky ft. Lovefoxx - Nightcall
  • Mitch Murder ft. Kristine - Feel the Air
  • Kavinsky - Testarossa Autodrive
  • Kavinsky - 1986
  • Perturbator - Raining Steel
  • Lost Years - Red Horizon
  • Lazerhawk - Overdrive
  • Kavinsky - Pacific Coast Highway
  • Betamaxx - Only in Movies
  • Mental Majority - Under the Stars
  • Lazerhawk - Interstellar
  • Tommy - The Chase
  • Kavinsky - Roadgame
  • Rain Sword - Shadows in the Dark
  • Miami Nights 1984 - Ocean Drive

  • Garth Knight - Silent Strike
  • Kavinsky - Protovision
  • Kavinsky ft. SebastiAn - Odd Look
  • Electric Youth - The Best Thing

Double Clef West (would replace Radio Los Santos - just cause)

Classical music. Because what else is there that's more suitable for a fighter jet rampage?

  • Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture
  • Mozart - Requiem Aeternam
  • Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata (mvt. 1)
  • Schubert - Ave Maria
  • Grieg - In the Hall of the Mountain King
  • Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries
  • Pachelbel - Canon in D Major
  • Verdi - Triumphal March
  • Bach - Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
  • Mussorgsky - Night on Bald Mountain

House Music from the 80's and 90's would be great. Some from the 00's and 10's would be great too. I love me some House Music! Anything made by Mr. Fingers would be great. "Can You Feel It" was my favorite song in SA. Also liked that song "I'll be your Friend" by Robert Owens. SF-UR was basically the best radio station in SA for me. Any songs similar to that station would be a great radio station DLC, and would be the only thing I listen to in the game. I think the Radio Station would be called "LS-UR" or something like that. Los Santos Underground Radio. Has a nice ring to it.

I wish R* would let us create our own playlists as a seperate radio station like in the PC version of san andreas.

Also they gotta give us an option to only let the car owner change the station in personal vehicles online.

I guess it depends on what the person's playing the game looking for... For example I'm the type of player that likes to get into the atmosphere that was created specifically for the environment, rather than to have an atmosphere that would have been decided by me, maybe it's OCD but I'd be reluctant to affect the game and feel quite strongly about what I believe goes against the atmosphere.

For example, I have no earthly idea why R* decided to have a reggae station on the West Coast out of all places, they did a Reggae station for the West Coast, twice, but failed to do so for Miami,TWICE.

I would like a "Vice City" themed radio station. Classic 80's.

When I was looking for some suggestions I stumbled across this song:

The intro from 0:00 to 0:42 sounds almost just like the song that plays in some of the GTA V missions. I think it's Daddy's Little Girl (when you dive underwater for the first time) although I can't quite put my finger on it.
