One thing I wonder is why M83's "Midnight City" was on Non Stop Pop FM instead of Radio Mirror Park. It has that Indietronica sound, and is very similar to Chain Gang of 1974's "Sleepwalking" imo.

 

Still, really glad they got that song in. Really fits GTA V's atmosphere.

Well, I went through the song intros like 3 times, and I didn't hear anything relating to Tears for Fears or any of their songs.

I'd imagine that they're saving "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" for when they re-do Vice City, it's only appropriate

Weird, they have an intro for a Go West song not listed in the america.gxt, but not one for Tears For Fears. Must've been the first cut from the station then. BTW, where do you think "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" was meant to be on: Los Santos Rock Radio or Non-Stop-Pop FM? I'm just curious as to what your opinion is.

Even though Los Santos Rock Radio has that "poppy" sound to it sometimes, I really think it would fit Non Stop Pop's song rotation a bit better.

All this confusion could have been avoided if they just added a dedicated "80's throwback" station, there's certainly enough songs already picked to pull it off.

Nope, none of the songs you listed there seemed to be mentioned by Fernando. But this whole discussion inspired me to listen to "Songs From The Big Chair" again, and I have to say that "Mothers Talk" would fit Vice City FM pretty well.

 

 

Sorry if i have to double post (again) , but it appears that "Mad World" was the Tears For Fears track that was cut from Vice City FM.
