a while back in another thread i asked what would you do if rockstar released a natural disaster dlc.

i didn't feel like looking it up and trying to revive that thread.

what would you do if they did release a natural disaster dlc, what natural disaster would you like to see in gta online?

and do you think hackers and glitchers would try to exploit it??

I would love to see hurricanes. City wide event where overwhelming wind and rain pelt the city for 15 minutes randomly. Would make it hard to run against the wind, cars swerve and visibility lowered.

I found it interesting to think that a severe weather feature would make the environment more fun. Plus if there were a lightning feature it'd be cool if it specifically targeted tank griefers at random.

I would also love to see King Kong climbing up Maze Bank.

 

Unfortunately it looks like we are a far cry from seeing anything on this scale from Rockstar.

How cool would it be? To be in a city like Los Santos, with essentially zero content besides a population, a little bit of levolution?, and godzilla.

You and a friend swinging dumps around with cargo bobs simulating the effect of left and right hooks to his stupid lizard face.

Only for Gojira to swipe you out the of air with his claw, prompting an emergency parachute landing.. leaving you to question your very will to continue in the face of such obstacles.

Hours go by in your effort to progress in this merciless game; the city lies in ruins and suddenly you realise you aren't supposed to kill Godzilla.

He cannot be killed....Enter Mothra.

 

It'd be like Slender man if Slender man was almost 400 feet tall, a lizard and you always saw him coming.

I would like to see the transit tunnels flooded electrical wires in the water, 747's crashing randomly over the city after Y2K, the Dam breaking and flooding parts of the map during heavy rain, Lightning strikes causing wildfires, Earthquakes shaking npcs to the ground, Hurricanes making flight impossible, blizzards making going outside deadly.

This, but shouldn't be random, otherwise it'll disrupt gameplay. Rather, they should have constant meteorological reports in the game news saying there will be an "incoming storm in the next (in-game) 24+ hours", giving players about half an hour to switch servers or something.

Yeah, you're right. 32,5 million copies sold, 7 world records, and a 97 metacritic score makes it a disaster. Not to mention the fact that you're still playing it.

Indeed. If they released a DLC like that, a map changing thing like a quake, or tsunami, they wouldn't have it as an optional DLC, you'd have to download it and play with the map changes if you wanted to keep playing. It's not like they'd give you a choice in the matter.

I'm also hoping that next christmas we get snow for longer and with added features. That was harsh on the people who couldn't get on for christmas day by only giving it 24 hrs during a busy family period. It also was very quiet for those of us who made it on.

Very occasionally I've witness crazy lightening off the coast in the game. Each time I've tried to take a photo as it looks fantastic and almost real. But I could never catch a shot as the lightening bolts were coming intermitadly.

Id love some more extreme weather or disaster events. It would be awesome.
