Audiophile
I just saw a trailer for this game in my Youtube feed and goddamn... Here is the Kickstarter page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/crytivogames/the-universim Your civilization will begin in the Stone Age and steadily progress, advancing beyond the modern era, then moving into the age of intergalactic exploration and colonization. The game will feature a similar evolutionary path to the human race, but players will have the tools to shape their civilization’s progress. You will need to think carefully when making decisions about things such as their research path. Some things may be far more important than others, depending on the situation and era. Even though you may think that fancy new gadget is worth dying for, you will also need to consider how it could be used while your people are slowly turning into fossils Edited April 25, 2014 by Audiophile cactus. 1 Intel i5-4590 3.3GHz | EVGA GTX 1080 SC 8GB | 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM | MSI Z97 G-45Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD and Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD | Audioengine A2 Speakers Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire | Corsair M65 Mouse | Fractal Design R5 Case | EVGA G2 850WAudio-Technica M50x Headphones and Sennheiser HD 558 | LG 34UC88 1440p Ultrawide Curved Monitor
Kiffster
Looks pretty cool and interesting. Might give it a whirl when it gets here. It actually reminds me a bit of Spore

Audiophile
Yes, it reminds me of Spore. That was the first game I thought of when I looked into this game. But it's doing so much more than Spore ever accomplished. I love games like this. Looks really good, I hope they reach their goal on Kickstarter! Audiophile
Yeah, I'm planning on throwing $30 their way, too. I love games like this and there hasn't been a decent one for a long while now. EDIT: It also has a page on Steam Greenlight, so follow it here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=250998536 The video on the Steam page has a nice overview of the game explained, after the trailer. SoftTouch
So what is this game about exactly ? You build city's and stuff until the planet's resources are drained, then you go to another planet and repeat ?
Audiophile
It explains in great detail on the Kickstarter page and Steam Greenlight page. Far better than any of us could. The game sounds like it's a lot more than what you described. OysterBarron
For those interested it has achieved its goal with 3 days to go. If you want to get on board and play the alphas and betas I suggest you head over there and put some money down.

RyanBurnsRed
I was going to put some money towards this, but something about it put me off. I think I'll wait awhile after it fully releases to see how it turns out
